 | | The only fall colors I usually see! |
Greetings!
October was a crazy month for me, so I'm glad that November has started! I'll be participating in a seminar about Breast Cancer Clinical Trials coordinated by the NBCC as part of their Project LEAD program. I'm really looking forward to learning how to find a trial, evaluate them and even design one. Another added benefit, since I live in Los Angeles, is that I'll be traveling to Virginia and I hope to see fall colors in all their glory! We have 3 prizes to give away for our November monthly contest! You don't have to be going through active treatment to be eligible to win a prize. Simply hit the reply button and answer the question. That's it! View the article below for more information. One of my favorite blogs belongs to Idelle Davidson, author of "Your Brain After Chemo." Read her newest article about healing stories and then scroll down to the "Chemo Brain as a disability" article for further information. How would you like to share your experience you had at your last mammogram? Here is an opportunity to do so! A survey is being conducted by Beekley Medical of Connecticut that makes products for mammography. They will share the results with breast imaging centers throughout the country for an opportunity to increase patient care for this necessary exam. Also please pass the survey link to your friends & family - there is power in numbers! I hope you have a wonderful month and are feeling well and empowered. Have a very happy Thanksgiving!
Sincerely,
Victoria Tashman Pink-Link 310-995-5204

| Providing free Prostheses |

I just got off the phone with my friend, Karleen Habin, at Massachusetts General Hospital. She's a part of a new nonprofit, one devoted to helping women get prostheis after having a mastectomy. Check out this organization by clicking the "read more" button, but also, please shoot me an email giving me some feedback and thoughts about this new venture. Karleen said she wants to help as many women as possible and part of that is to hear thoughts from the consumer. I'll forward your thoughts to her anonymously.
