Get Connected ... Be Connected ... Stay Connected

Let's GET CONNECTED!

Welcome to the April 2010 edition of In Touch brought to you by the Rocky Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council.

Participation in
the 2010 Growth Through Partnership Conference (March 25) was impressive and worthy of the myriad activities we brought to our constituency and supporters.  We thank all of our corporate members and our MBE beneficiaries for their roles in making this an event that will continue to reap benefits throughout the year.  The networking opportunities alone made the conference unique, and the mixture of corporate and MBE workshops provided a lively platform to spring forward and discover new opportunities and new ways to approach existing opportunities. Our keynote speaker, Bill Sumner, regaled us with wit and wisdom and we celebrated award winners who are leaders in their respective fields.  Indeed, an event to remember!

We are proud to announce our 2010 Growth Through Partnership Award Winners:

Denver, Colorado - April 15, 2010

(Pictured at left, left to right:  Bill Dempsey of MillerCoors, Laurie Billeter of Denver Water, and Stan Sena, at Growth Through Partnership, March 25, 2010)

To begin, it is important that all of you who participated in the 2010 Growth Through Partnership on March 25 know how very gratified we were to be able to bring such a substantive conference to our corporate members and MBE constituents.  We put forth tremendous effort to bring you dynamic and groundbreaking conferences with the sole purpose of helping you to GET CONNECTED on a new and interesting platform.  We were assisted by an able cadre of volunteers without whom we could not manage such a significant event.  This year, our conference attendance increased by over 25 percent.  Kudos to everyone involved.  Our continued hope is that you will utilize all that you have learned at this event and expand upon unlimited possibilities.

We are impressed with the number of our Minority Business Enterprise constituents who have completed our MBE Survey. The information you provide us will help us to understand your needs, especially in regard to ongoing education and networking activities. If you are a Rocky Mountain MSDC-Certified MBE, please make sure that you help us to represent you to our corporate members by completing this brief but important survey. The MBE Survey is located on our website; please link to it by connecting to our home page: www.rmmsdc.org. You will find the direct link to the survey on the left side of our home page.

Be sure to STAY CONNECTEDby joining us as we launch a new series of monthly events to emphasize "Social Networking: Beyond Business After Hours" this Spring. Our first event is April 21. More information is available on our web site.

Look for new about our continuing Access Opportunity Events.  The next event will be sponsored by the City and County of Denver.  Look for updates on our web site.

Of course, we are gearing up for our Annual Golf Tournament at Arrowhead on June 18. Sign upto participate as an individual or as a foursome and reserve your sponsorship today. Don't delay if you want to play!

Finally, I would like to remind all of our Minority Business Enterprise constituents that we want to work with you and there is no better way, other than through a face-to-face encounter, than to use our new ENHANCED CAPABILITY STATEMENT.  This quick online form will enable us to represent you, as an MBE, to our corporate members and in so doing, let them know that your minority business enterprise is ready and eager to provide corporate America with goods and services that they need.

Our ENHANCED CAPABILITY STATEMENT is now available online. It is a simple online fill-in that each of our MBE constituents should complete and submit so that we can upload the information and place it into a template that will then be categorized as to products/services.
