Greetings!
It's February - even if it feels like April. All last month, Broad Street had been buzzing with activity: food drives, new economic legislation, urban designs - and that's not even mentioning the parking ban meeting. There's plenty more to look forward to this month, so let's go ahead dig right in, with all the news that print to fit!

Blackstone Valley Arts District
Thanks to the combined efforts of the cities of Central Falls, Pawtucket and the town of Cumberland, the Broad Street district is one step closer to having itself declared an Arts and Entertainment district. These districts provide income and sales tax incentives to individual artists who make, sell or perform their original works of art within the district. The proposed district will stretch from Main St. in Pawtucket to Mendon Rd in Cumberland. If you have any questions about the proposal or would like to know how you can lend your support, please email Ron Barron at ron.bvtc@gmail.com, or call 401-724-2200.
