The Blackstone River, one of 14 American Heritage Rivers, flows between Worcester, Massachusetts and Providence Rhode Island. The John H. Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor tells the story of the river's role in starting New England's textile industry and the American Industrial Revolution.

11:00 am Discover Another American Revolution |

Slater Mill Historic Site is where the American Industrial Revolution began. Guided by a knowledgeable costumed interpreter, you'll see how flax is spun into linen, a waterwheel turning 19th century machinery, and discover how this 19th century revolution changed our daily lives. |
1:00 pm Lunch at Slater Park & Ride the Oldest Loof Carousel

Enjoy lunch of hotdogs
and hamburgers at Daggett Farm and visit the farmyard animals, floral
gardens, and a community vegetable gardens. After lunch take a ride on
the historic Looff Carousel, visit the oldest house in Pawtucket, the Daggett House and visit the Rhode Island Watercolor Society Art Gallery in the boat house. |
