Holiday Heritage in the Blackstone Valley

The Blackstone River, one of 14 American Heritage Rivers, flows between Worcester, Massachusetts and Providence Rhode Island. The John H. Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor tells the story of the river's role in starting New England's textile industry and the American Industrial Revolution. 
 

10:00 am  Not Your Run-of-the-Mill Museum Shop

Located in the Blackstone Valley Visitor Center, the Slater Mill Museum shop features jewelry, glass, paper, fine art and textile items made by local artists and other unique gift items.

11:15 am Hearthside House - "The House that Love Built"

Decked for the Holidays, Victorian-themed gift items, jewelry, procelain dolls, tea items and Holiday ornaments are available in the gift shop.  Includes house tour.

12:30 pm Lunch at the Lodge Pub & Eatry

 
Enjoy delicious homemade food in a fun, comfortable rustic atmosphere.

2:30 pm St. Ann Arts & Cultural Center


Visit "the Sistine Chapel of North America", with European style ceiling frescos.  Gift items including exquisite stained glass and stocking stuffers available for sale.


4:00 pm National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette

This optional stop may be arranged to view the annual Christmas Festival of lights featuring 10 acres of holiday lights.
