2011 Intentions

As I am sure you are probably doing, or will do, I am looking ahead to what I want to create next year.
I have some projects already in motion, which I will reveal in the coming year, when they are firmly grounded. In the meantime, I am feeling into what is showing up on my visionboard and paying attention to signs on the road map of life, providing inspiration to create.
When I tune into the collective energy for 2011, I sense a hugely creative and opportune time. It seems very important to activate the power of intention to create one's reality, and not to get stuck in the apparent limitations of life.
Letting go is necessary, yes. Loss can be perceived if one is not actively participating in creating their reality.
As I tuned in to 2010 in December of '09 I had coined a phrase, " go zen in 2010." I felt like '10 was going to be a year to practice neutrality. Not being attached to the highs or the lows but learning to flow and surrender to changes as they were coming rapidly.
As I tune into 2011, I sense that so many different realities are going to be playing out, it is really going to be necessary to figure out which one you want to be observing and participating. Hence, the coined phrase I am coming up with for next year, " Create Your Heaven in 2011."
What that really means is to ask yourself the question, " what is most important to me to have in my life?"
Look for qualities you want to experience like love or peace or abundance. Look for feelings you want to have like excitement, joy and bliss. Look for things you want to do like travel or projects. And most of all, what do you want to create? A new relationship? A different career? A new home? Get specific, if you can.
The primary way to shift your reality from one you have to one you want, is to intention. But first you have to know what you want to experience.
My question to you is, what would your heaven on earth look like, feel like and sound like?
Take a journey within to the light of all knowing and ask of yourself that question. Then listen. You might be surprised at the answers.
Trust yourself. Get out of your own way. And enjoy the journey as much as possible. And, if you need assistance along the way. I am here to support and guide you to your wondrous Self.
Happy New Year!

Heaven On The Inside
Greetings!
As long as I can remember, I have always wanted heaven on earth. Even as a child, I looked for what was magical and meaningful.
Although I was raised in a Presbyterian household, my parents were mostly accepting and open minded to each one's right to pursue their own path, and so I found myself being attracted to many spiritual and worldly ways. Yet, I still found magic in the church with the vast, colored, stained glass windows, the deep traditions, and a sense of spiritual community.
Around Christmas time, I found heart and meaning as our family drove around the neighborhoods of San Francisco, looking at all the Christmas lights and participated in the decorating of the tree and then Christmas Eve... quiet. Then on Christmas day opening of the presents brought huge elation to my being. To this day, I love surprises. I have mostly positive memories associated with that time.
I also loved going to my friend's homes that celebrated Hanukkah. The special significance of the story of the oil that kept the flame lit and lasted for 8 days while keeping the hope of the Jewish people alive, gave a stirring in my soul. Anything was possible, I believed, and still do.
As I grew on my spiritual path, I learned about the true meaning of the seasons and the equinoxes and solstices. I learned a respect for time and natural growth cycles. I began to question the origins or rituals instead of just participating in rote behavior and traditions. The Winter Solstice and Yuletide spoke to me, about the birth of the Sun Child which is the return of light from darkness from the Mother Goddess. It tied into the story of Father Christmas, a big elf who brings the "gifts" of hope and promise to many. As well, the Christ Child of Light and the growth of light of awareness from the darkness of ignorance. It tied into the celebration of Hanukkah, the Menorah and the light of the flame that was to last for one day and instead lasted for eight. This was a miracle and surely the true meaning of this time of year, is associated with miracles and blessings.
As I have grown on my path, I am less inclined to cling to religious traditions, and more apt to be drawn to the cultivation of light around the holiday season. Light is a Universal Language, like Love. What I have learned is to find my heaven on the inside and the light within the darkness, as much as I possibly can. Through my work I am able to help illuminate the path for others.
During this busy season, maybe you can find your own light and the place of making miracles and blessings. Remember that every one of us has a heaven, ( or a nirvana or a utopia) inside. Perhaps in 2011 you can grow your awareness of heaven within and continue to manifest that in your outer world. The more of us who do, the better for all.
Sending you peace, joy and holiday blessings,

The Light 10 Ways To Brighten up Your Holidays
I like to share information that unites people rather than divides. This time of year, there are many celebrations. No matter what religion or spiritual belief system you come from, there is a common theme of light. Light is amazing. We all need it, want it, cherish it. Believe it or not, after December 21st ( give or take a day or two) the days already start getting longer even as we start to go into the depths of winter. This time of year, when it feels like things are cold and dark, embrace and follow the light within. It is after all the true meaning of the season.
Here are 10 things you can do to bring more light into your life:
- Invoke The Light - Call it in. Call it to you. Raise your vibration by bringing in more light. Let it be Divine. Let it be beautiful.
- Surround Yourself With Light - Feel, sense and imagine yourself surrounded in a blanket of beautiful white sparkly light. Do this whenever you feel dull or down and I guarantee you will feel better.
- Send The Light - Frequently, send light to one or all. Just say in your mind, " I send you the light of love...", or healing, or peace or abundance. Then see the light going there and surrounding that person or situation.
- Expand The Light - Surround yourself with reflective objects like crystals, glass or small mirrors. Use them as touchstones to remind you of The Light.
- Shine Your Light - It is really who you are. If you don't feel it, fake it, 'til you make it. Adorn yourself with colors or attire that bring out the best in you. Remember to smile as a smile is a gift that shares your light with another.
- See The Light - Look for it in people, places and situations. Look for it and you will find it and it will help to expand your own.
- Feel The Light - Pay attention to the warmth of a cozy fire or a special sunny day. Notice the people that bring warmth and palpable light into your life.
- Value The Light - Appreciate and be grateful for how The Light, lights up your life. The more you value It the more It will be with you in a tangible way.
- Know The Light - Remember that Light is information. The more you have the more you know. Develop a relationship with light and all of it's colors. Light is healing and can raise your vibration, protect you and ground you.
- Play With Light - From faeries to angels, to Buddha to Christ, there is light to be found from Winter's Solstice to Midsummer's night. Be like a child and find your light within and you will never lose your way on the path, back home again.

Winter's Solstice Affirmation & Prayer May the Light within grow ever bright, may it illuminate the darkness and expand your inner sight.
May the hearts of all find more joy than sorrow, may they feel the abundance without having to beg or borrow.
May the children honor the teachings of old, yet bring new stories of Spirit's Light to be told.
May the Earth fulfill her destiny of being a bride majestic and bright, as she joins with our collective Christ Consciousness in a union of Light.
May we all fulfill our destinies to be co-creators with the Divine, and let go the outworn beliefs that keep us limited within the confines of time.
May we realize our collective destiny is not to perish but to ascend, as parable and prophet has predicted, it is another beginning we are traveling too, not a final end.
May you appreciate every minute, while living deeply in the present, letting go the past and creating a future of fabulous moments. - HSF 12/10
Happy and blessed Hanukkah, Winter's Solstice, Merry Christmas, Kwanzaa and New Years.
