Stephen was featured in the September issue of the ABA Journal!  Here's a snippet of the article... "There's a huge gap between simple and easy," he says. "The concepts are simple. Easy to implement? That's where the gap is." Fairley leans forward a bit and adds: "If it was easy to make a million dollars, nobody would be working at McDonald's."

Stephen will be giving 2 keynote presentations at the upcoming 82nd Annual Meeting of the State Bar of California! They are promoting his presentation on their event's homepage. Check it out...

Use Technology to Lower Overhead

With recent advancements in technology and the internet there are more ways than ever to reduce your expenses without sacrificing quality.

 *     Instead of committing to a large office suite with a crushing monthly payment, use a virtual office or rent one by the hour. HQ.com and Regus.com are two popular options.

*    Consider hiring a Virtual Assistant instead of a full-time, onsite one. I have used VAs for several years now with much success.

*    Use an electronic newsletter (e-zine) instead of a print one to reduce costs. We recommend www.ConstantContact.com

*    Instead of hiring a full time receptionist at $15 to $25 per hour, use a virtual receptionist (www.CallRuby.com has packages from under $200 per month).

*     If you have to fly to meet with clients face to face, try using www.Skype.com and a webcam instead. Although it's not exactly the same, the quality of the video is amazing these days, plus Skype is free. A good webcam costs $75 to $150 (half the price of a plane ticket). Send your client a webcam as a gift. Set up takes less than 10 minutes.

I would like to challenge you to implement one of these technology driven/money saving ideas (or one of your own) into your practice in the next 30 days.
