Greetings!

It's funny how sometimes the harder you work on a problem the harder it is to solve and other times things seem to just fall into place without trying...

At risk of hearing my mom's old refrain "Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back", our space at this year's Chicago Botanic Garden Show is one of our most beautiful ever.  Between the fabulous stuff we brought and the beautiful plant material so generously provided by Craig Bergmann and placed in our space by his very talented installers, Russ and Linda, it is really a knock-out!

Nancy is hard at work with the last minute tags before the guest start to arrive for  tonight's preview party and I'm having strawberry rhubarb pie in the cafe. Aw quit groaning and rolling your eyes. It's a little deal we have - I do all the heavy lifting and she handles the paperwork. In fact she tries to avoid even arriving for set-up until we are 90% finished. It's one of those little tricks people who've been married for twenty years make use of to limit unnecessary conflict. We try to live by the old adage  "let the hammer do what the hammer does and let the nail do what the nail does".

No cracks about who's the hammer and who's the nail.

Have a great weekend,
Beau

*We'll be closed at the store this weekend, so please come out and see us at the entrance to the Rose Garden tent, booth #400.
