Photo of the Week

Thank you, Dianne and Nathaniel Washington! The generous donation of the use of their land has allowed the CSED to begin composting to produce soil for our planned future urban mini-farm.

Charles Reddick and Vincent Fedeli of the CSED construct a rain catchment barrel that will collect rain water which will be used to keep the compost piles moist, so that by the end of the process we will have rich and fertile soil for planting!

Bayou Bienvenue Platform Closed Temporarily

This photo is taken from the platform looking towards the Industrial Canal.
The Bayou Bienvenue Platform will not be accessible for the next 6 months due to repair work being done by the New Orleans Levee Board on the Florida Avenue floodwall. Fear not though, as the platform will return upon completion of the work. Stayed tuned to the CSED Newsletter for updates and details!
