Warm greetings from Webber's Lodges!

Spring is finally here and we're busily preparing for our first batch of guests who are coming spring goose hunting at Dymond Lake Lodge.

Whether you're an avid wing shooter or just getting started in this wonderful sport, there's no better place to experience one of nature's greatest goose migrations than Hudson Bay.

Four goose hunters

At Webber's Lodges we offer an exceptional goose hunting package that not only includes breathtaking
spring Snow Goose hunting on the Hudson Bay coast, but also the finest in lodging and meals.

We've still got some space left and we'd love to have you come experience the incredible wing shooting opportunities we can offer.

Ice Pilots NWT - Coming soon to the U.S.!
Ice Pilots logoWe thought we'd give you a bit of an update on what's happening with this popular show which we highlighted in our last newsletter.

Currently, Ice Pilots only airs in Canada on the History Channel, however, the show has recently been picked up by National Geographic Channel in the States.

Season 1 was recently launched in the States.  Unfortunately, the episode in which Doug Webber is featured is one of the last in Season 2 so you may have to wait a while to see it!

For details, check out the related story on our blog.
15 Reasons to fish with Webber's Lodges
NKL lodge with logo

It almost goes without saying that a trip to North Knife Lake Lodge will stay with you for a lifetime.  Here are a few reasons why:

1.Spectacular fishing - trophy Manitoba Northern Pike,  Lake Trout, Arctic Grayling, and Walleye, our remote and pristine wilderness in the heart of one of the last great ecosystems boasts virtually unexplored waters.

2.Northern hospitality - when you're on the lake, a gourmet feast - shore lunch prepared by your guides, not your everyday fried fish and bread, and never the same one twice. Appetizers and cocktails ready for you when you come off the lake prepare you for the feature act.

3.Pristine wilderness - when you've had enough fishing, relax with the view of a spectacular sunset or discover surrounding eskers and lakes. Let tranquility soak into your soul.

4.Luxury lodging - in our beautiful, spacious, custom designed lodge with all the modern amenities. Enjoy a private bath off your bedroom, or you may choose a condo for a little more privacy.

Trophy of the Month

We see a lot of happy hunters go through our camps so we've decided to establish a 'Trophy of the Month' club to showcase their accomplishments.  Each month we will feature a past guest who's had a Trophysuccessful hunt with us.

Our first winner is Jeff Barrett of Mendota, IL.  September 2010 was a tremendous year for the caribou migration.  Jeff harvested two caribou in two days  - both of which were great trophies.  His second bull well
surpassed the Boone & Crockett Minimum score.  Jeff was able to take home a couple wall hangers by being patient and holding out for true monster bulls.  But don't take it from us--listen to what Jeff had to say:

"At Webber's Lodge the food and accommodations are wonderful, the guides & owners are hardworking, and at times the tundra looks as though it is moving due to the number of caribou. Put these three things together and you have the hunt of a lifetime."
- J. Barrett

Resident caribou hunters score big
Four caribou croppedOur caribou season started off with a bang last year which made for some very happy resident hunters.  In the first week of hunting we saw an estimated 3,000 animals come through camp.

Bill Loewen, who is in his 70's, harvested a superb bull with palmated tops, not more than 500 yards from the lodge.  Murray Hedley took a bull with one of the widest spreads I have seen and Trent Hedley took a very unique bull with great rear points.
