A Reason for Giving
Diane Cardinalli 2011
Guest speaker, Diane Cardinalli, told the ICF friends what giving generously to ICF has meant to Idyllwild.  From her front row seat as principal of Idyllwild School for many years she saw  how many families had needs beyond their means.  She also watched as programs were discontinued in the arts when funding was discontinued.  ICF has stepped in to help and she said she is most appreciative.  Thanks Diane.

For the greatest good, let Bronwyn explain.

The Celebration of Giving 2011
.......and a great time was had by all.
The Idyllwild Community Fund held its annual reception for recipients of grants and friends of ICF on Thursday, September 22, at the Rainbow Inn.  During the cocktail hour, attendees were able to visit with the grantees and learn about their operations and the use to which their 2011 grants will be applied.

Completely funded and hosted by the Executive Board, the reception is a friendly and positive event celebrating the community of Idyllwild and its commitment to giving.  In the photos below, Lon Mercer, proprietor of the Rainbow Inn adds the finishing touches to the dinner table, Janice Fast pulls her baked ham from the oven, and Summer Brown with help from GiGi Kramer serves wine.

The Recipients
Three of the grant recipients, Suzanne Avalon of ISIS Theater Company, Janice Murasko of ARF (Animal Rescue Friends) represented here by Baxter, a rescued canine, and Veronica Alt with Dora Dillman of Mountain Disaster Preparedness were given an opportunity to tell the audience more about their programs and projects.

The evening concluded with a drawing for some spectacular door prizes.  Everyone went home with an open invitation to attend next year's reception.  Donations received at the reception of $899 will be added to the endowment to enable grants to continue forever. Remember,  your dollars are never used....just the proceeds from them.  That makes your donation truly the gift that keeps on giving.  We thank everyone for their generosity, good spirit and appreciation of our efforts.

See you in 2012
