Harvard President Drew Gilpin Faust in India
Drew Gilpin Faust, President, Harvard University and Lincoln Professor of History, visited India in January for the first time. During her visit, she delivered welcome remarks to kick off the South Asia Initiative's"Higher Education in South Asia: Enhancing Quality and Access through Innovative Solutions" education symposium on January 23, 2012, which was attended by over 150 leaders in education from across South Asia.
Panelists Pratap Bhanu Mehta, Howard Gardner, M. Omar Rahman and Meenakshi Gopinath at the January 23rd event.

Summer 2012 Internship Spotlight:Khelshala, Chandigarh, India
Khelshala is a sport-based youth development program that combines squash, academic tutoring, music and yoga to empower 25 underprivileged children in Village Attawa in Chandigarh, India. The program was founded in 2009 by the former Director of Squash at Harvard University (1999-2010) and is endorsed by the Squash Racquets Federation of India. The program is in the process of expanding to another site to include tennis instruction and coaching.
Khelshala is looking for a two interns, one in development and one in academic tutoring.
