 BRAC is a development organization based in Dhaka dedicated to the alleviation of poverty by empowering the poor to bring about positive change in their own lives. Summer 2012 SAI Internship Spotlight:
Center for Law & Policy
The Center for Law and Policy, based in Lahore, Pakistan, is an institute for the study of national and international legal and policy issues and to translate those studies into solutions, strategies, and decision making tools. The Center undertakes and facilitates research on various areas of local and global concern, and, collaborating with Pakistani and foreign law professors, judges, practitioners, and policy makers, offers a credible and prominent platform for rigorous and substantive analyses and deliberations. The Center is looking for up to three research assistants to work on one of three projects: conducting research on the status and rights of non-Muslims in Pakistan; researching the role of religion in Pakistani legal system; or conducting research on challenges to policing in Pakistan. **Please note, this opportunity is available to undergraduate students with Pakistani citizenship, and widely to all graduate students.
