Weather and Pasture Management Our area had a little bit of rain recently, but it is still way behind on rainfall. For most of us, the lack of rainfall has had a negative effect on our pasture grasses. If our recent run with the rain continues, I would think about reseeding one's pasture, a great way to improve it. This would be a good time to plant permanent grasses, particularly Bermuda. Stop by the store to pick up your grass seed, we sell by the bag or in bulk. If we are receiving rain, now is the time to put out some fertilizer. Look at your pasture and see what you can do to help it along. Organic Microstart 60 is a good way to go. Look for organic fertilizers that help retain moisture and extend watering cycles. Mulch! Mulch! Mulch! This helps conserve water. Another tip, when changing the water in your watering trough, consider using that water for your plants and shrubs.
