In The Pinkpink ribbon

The Breast Health Task Force of Southeastern Connecticut was established in 1997 as part of the Healthy New London Project.It has evolved into a regional collaboration representing organizations and individuals dedicated to increasing awareness of the importance of early detection.

This month The Breast Health Task Force of Southeastern Connecticut sponsors In the Pink - a collaboration of downtown businesses to raise awareness about breast cancer through art and raising money to help women without insurance to afford mammograms an important part of early detection.

Spirit is offering pink ribbon tattoos for $60, and donating $20 of each tattoo to TBHTF.  If you or anyone you know has been affected by this disease, show your support with a pink ribbon tattoo.
Dee Whitcomb Joins Our Staff! 

Help us welcome Dee to the tattoo studio!  Dee has been tattooing for over twenty years, and is well-known among celebrities and deethroughout Europe for his versatile tattooing style. He joins us from Germany and Northern Ireland, returning home to CT this August and becoming part of our talented tattoo artist team.

At the Subase & Need a Ride?

Lari is happy to drive a sailor in need of a tattoo to the studio.  He will meet interested parties at the front gate and make sure they can get to Spirit Gallery Tattoo for their ink fix. This offer is for those getting a tattoo THAT DAY only!  We cannot pick up people for a consultation.  However, you can always call the studio to check artist availability and schedule a pickup for the day you get your tattoo.

Currently on display is "Neverland" by Diana Diriwaechter.  This show will hang through Sept 27th.

 

Following "Neverland" will be "In Memoriam," featuring the photography of Michael Dodd and the sculpture of Hector Aguilar.  This show combines realistic monster masks and full-size figures with cemetery and religious photography.  Artists reception will be Saturday, October 1st from 6-8pm. Be sure to drop in and meet the artists and be the first to see this fantastic show!diana artwork
