April 4, 2011 serves as a banner day for Operation Inasmuch, Inc. On that day, we learned that the ministry had received the gold standard of financial approval from ECFA (the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability). According to its www site, "ECFA is an accreditation agency dedicated to helping Christian ministries earn the public's trust through adherence to Seven Standards of Responsible efcaStewardshipTM." In order to be approved by ECFA, non-profits, ministries, educational institutions, and churches must demonstrate that they meet high standards of "board governance, financial transparency, integrity in fundraising, and proper use of charity resources."

"Approval by ECFA is huge for Operation Inasmuch," says David Crocker, Executive Director.  "First, it means that we have passed a rigorous test of how we handle the funds entrusted to us by donors and foundations.  Anyone who supports Operation Inasmuch, Inc., can have confidence that the ministry will exercise the highest integrity in accounting for and managing dollars given to it.  Second, for those just learning about the ministry, membership in ECFA gives

us instant credibility.  This is a good day for Operation Inasmuch."

We're excited to know that a well-respected organization such as EFCA believes that Operation Inasmuch is a faithful financial steward for our Lord.

Dr. Crocker wishes to express his gratitude to the many kind thoughts you have sent his way and the prayers you continue to speak on his and his family's behalf. He hopes to be able to personally thank you in the months to come. Most of you know that his dear wife, Clara, passed away suddenly on March 27, 2011. Many gracious friends came out to uphold the family during Clara's Life Celebration where it was said, "God used Clara to build His Kingdom in many ways known to us and known only to God Himself. She was a devoted daughter, model and supportive wife, and loving, generous mother and grandmother."  Clara has now entered into the Joy of her Master.
