Inasmuch Expands Staff

In a move to expand the capacity of the Inasmuch ministry, the Board of Directors of Operation Inasmuch, Inc. has employed Lorraine Kalal of Knoxville, TN as the Director of Marketing and Development.  Kalal brings extensive experience in both non-profits and business to this position.  She holds degrees from Duke University and Wharton BusineLorraine Kalalss School.  In addition to working in several Knoxville businesses, she helped to launch a ministry for single mothers and their children.  Other ministry experiences include writing curriculum for Larry Crabb's ministry, serving in several volunteer capacities at Eastbrook Church, Milwaukee and Reedemer Presbyterian in New York City.  In the last few years she has formed her own consulting business specializing in working with non-profits to help them achieve their potential.

"We are excited to add Lorraine to the OIAM team," says David Crocker, Executive Director.  "She is highly qualified and passionate about seeing the church fulfill her biblical mandate to minister to people in need as a matter of lifestyle."

Kalal lead the OIAM Board of Directors in August in a strategic planning process.  Crocker says, "Our entire Board was very impressed with her and how well she led us.  It was first rate and, without us realizing it at the time, it gave us an opportunity to see her perform as a member of the Inasmuch team."

As Director of Marketing and Development, Kalal will focus on enhancing the marketing of Operation Inasmuch, grant writing and the development of new resources.  She will also be available to conduct workshops and training sessions doubling the ministry's capacity in this way.

"We believe Lorraine possesses the skills and experiences that will take the Inasmuch ministry to another level," says David Crocker.  "We are fortunate to have her with us.  People can expect to see improvements in our look and branding and the quality of our resources."

Kalal is married with 2 daughters.  Her husband is a minister.

In accepting the position, Kalal was heard to say:  "Habitat, here we come!"
