FEBRUARY
Now through Feb 3:
UNITED WAY SOUPER BOWL OF CARING
Your Chamber and the Village of Montgomery are teaming up to tackle hunger by hosting a food drive in support of the annual Fox Valley
United Way "Souper Bowl of Caring."  For the last 20 years, the Souper Bowl of Caring has shown Americans that while many are preparing to enjoy the Super Bowl, we can help out those who don't have a bowl of soup to eat.
What can you do?  Drop off donations of non-perishable food items at the Montgomery Village Hall -- 200 N. River Street (in the reception area) 8 am - 4:30 pm through this Friday, Feb 3rd. All donations will help fill the shelves at the Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry and the Kendall County Food Pantry.  Each year these pantries experience a significant reduction in donations after the holidays, limiting their ability to help families who are struggling to avoid homelessness.
How else can you help?  Did you know that each dollare donated purchases six dollars of food for the pantries? You can make an even bigger impact with a monetary donation.  For information on how to make a cash, check or credit card donation, call the Fox Valley United Way at 630-896-4636.
Tell them that the Montgomery Chamber sent you!
