April 2012
Dear ,

At this time of year the theme song around the office is, "I Will Survive!"  Now that April 17th has passed I am happy to report we have survived!  The busy season has ended and over 500 business returns and over 1500 individual returns have been e-filed.  It's a bittersweet ending for us.  We have taken care of so many people and now the office will grow quiet again.  Luckily, we are a year round solution provider, so it won't be long before we see many of your smiling faces again.  Do you need help compiling monthly or quarterly financial statements?  Are you up to date with QuickBooks or do you need some help?  Have you updated your Estate plan or Business Succession plan?  These are all services that SME CPAs provides above and beyond the traditional role of tax accountant.  If you had any surprises this tax season then it's time to make a change and make a plan for next year.  The experts at SME CPAs can help you create your history, not just record it.

Marketing Tip from Jessica Yoder

What keeps your customers coming back? It's not just your convenient location or your reasonable prices. They trust you. Establishing trust should be an essential part of any marketing plan. LogoOnce people trust you, they will continue to do business with you and will feel comfortable encouraging others to use your services. You can build trust through marketing strategies that are already in place. For example, when someone in your office is promoted or makes another accomplishment, submit a press release and let the community know. In your social media marketing, create conversations with your followers. Post valuable information that people can relate to and they will begin to value your posts. This blog has more suggestions for building trust within your customers and prospects.

Technology Tip from Jessica Yoder

In today's modern world, just about every professional presentation involves PowerPoint.  But we all know the disasters that could possibly ensue when relying on a thumb drive or a .ppt file that might be in an old version.  LogoThere are several apps, programs, and websites that make sure your hard work pays off and your presentation can be accessed when you need it. Uploading your file to the cloud makes sharing easier and is more reliable than remembering your disc or thumb drive. A detailed list of the features of each provider listed below can be found in this Inc.com article.

Thanks for taking the time to read our newsletter.  Stay tuned for next month's tips and features.
