ReproTech's Nevada site director, Danika, was proud to be invited to speak on "Fertility Preservation for the Oncology Patient" at Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue, WA on August 2. Also presenting at the event was Lynn Davis, MD, MS, of Seattle Reproductive Medicine. Danika and Dr. Davis spoke to an audience of oncologists, nurses and other medical professionals on Fertility Preservation and the options available to their patients.

Two USA Olympians are Testicular Cancer Survivors | | |
 Eric Shanteau was diagnosed with testicular cancer one week before making the 2008 U.S. Olympic team. Eric swam a personal best in Beijing, and less than a week after returning home he underwent surgery and was declared cancer free on September 15, 2008. Eric is now a cancer awareness advocate among the young adult community. Congratulations to Eric and Team USA for winning GOLD in the Men's 100m relay on August 4 at the London Games.

Jake Gibb, of USA's Beach Volleyball team, was suspended when the abnormal hormone levels in his blood indicated steriod use - OR testicular cancer. After TC surgery Jake and his partner finished fifth in  Beijing. They had a good run in 2012's London Games, but unfortunately lost to Latvia last night in the quarterfinals. Congratulations to Jake and Team USA for an amazing job!

Breast Cancer Ride, a two-day fundraising bike ride benefitting Open Arms of MN and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure
Minnesota Affiliate. Our Minnesota Site Director, Jill, and her teammate raised $2000 for the event. Over 200 riders participated, including Paralympics Games medalist Oscar (Oz) Sanchez, who will be competing in the London Paralympics in August-Sept.
