2011 was a great year for ReproTech.  We want to extend our sincere appreciation to all of our FPN's for your trust and continued support of our business. 2011 was also a significant year for the advancement of Oncofertility.  Thanks to your efforts and the efforts of organizations such as Northwestern's Oncofertility Consortium and LiveSTRONG's fertileHOPE initiative, education, resources and fertility preservation services are now more easily accessible to both patients and their healthcare providers.

Here are a few highlights of RTL's 2011 happenings:

Sharing Hope 2012

Thank you to our FPN's who currently participate in LiveSTRONG's

Sharing Hope Programs, 

which connect recently diagnosed cancer patients to discounted fertility preservation options before beginning cancer treatment.

• Participation is free
• By providing discounted preservation services, you will be part of increasing access and awareness to fertility preservation options for those with a cancer diagnosis
• LiveSTRONG oversees aspects of the application process and communicates approved patients to you in a timely and efficient manner
• Select pre-cycle medications are donated to through an exclusive relationship with EMD Serono, Inc.

Fertility Preservation Presentations

ReproTech is offering Fertility Preservation presentations to cancer centers in our local areas in Coconut Creek, FL, St. Paul, MN and Reno, NV.  We are seeking the assistance of our FPN members for these presentations. If you have information to share, or if you have staff willing to speak or answer questions on Fertility Preservation, please contact Joy at jbader@reprotech.com. 

Patient Paperwork: 

• We ask your cooperation in ensuring that your patients complete all RTL forms.  If items are left incomplete, please know that RTL will need to contact your office to request the missing information.   Two specific items that are frequently left incomplete are the Clinical Diagnosis and Referring Physician items on the Treatment History forms.  We appreciate your help in reviewing the forms for completion, and requesting missing information from your patients prior to submission to RTL.

NOTE that the Treatment History forms were updated in September, 2011.  Please contact your local RTL office if you require copies of the most current forms.  

• Upon completion of the RTL Cryostorage Agreement, please provide your patient with a copy of the agreement for his/her records.  As well, we request that the patient be provided the RTL brochure, "The Cryostorage Experts You Can Trust", which will familiarize the patient with RTL storage fees.  Please contact your local RTL office if you require these brochures.

We've told you what we need from you in 2012.  Please tell us what suggestions you have for us.  ReproTech will continue our Fertility Preservation education efforts by working with patient and professional organizations, offering presentations, distributing educational materials, attending and exhibiting at conferences and social networking. We would like your suggestions on what YOU might like to see in addition to our current efforts.
