 In the 1960s, people imagined that the typical home of 2015 would be a mansion sized, Jetsons' home complete with Rosie the Robot and other space-age appliances that dressed and fed the family. But, rather than space-age technology, the big change is, "Homes will get smaller," says Stephen Melman, Director of Economic Services at the National Association of Home Builders. According to builders surveyed nationwide, living rooms, dining spaces and kitchens are destined to merge and flow into one another. Luxe agrees and we see that trend extending to the luxury rental market as well, however the space will be better designed. Many new multifamily rental communities coming on line today were initially slated as luxury condos for sale. Their open space planning, finishes, features and amenities have raised the bar for many multifamily owners and operators, such as Luxe Community Essex Skyline in Orange County. While luxury renters increasing expect kitchens with granite or stone slab counters, stainless and/or designer appliances, and lavish bathrooms, it's the open floor plan which is now being demanded by more and more luxury renters. "Size does matter," but it seems that artful space planning and the utilitarian design of smaller spaces into attractive, multifunction living environments is the way of the future. Poor Rosie....

Luxe Word from the President: Get Your Luxe-On!

Coming Soon... the Luxe List Home "Hot Listing" Portal. Our Luxe Renters asked for it and it's now about to debut. We have agreed to partner with ListHub the nation's premier listing network for online listings, to feature and connect luxury renters to additional luxury rental options, including luxury condominiums, lofts, penthouses and single family homes in many metropolitan areas across the US. These listings will not appear on the annual Luxe List which is reserved for our exceptional multifamily communities. Instead, they will be featured on the soon-to-be launched Luxe Hot Listing Portal. On this Portal, Realtors will have the ability to distinguish their special listings by upgrading to "Featured" or "Premier Status" and luxury renters will have the ability to quickly sort and locate listings that meet their needs and expectations. Expect a separate, more detailed announcement in November.
Several Member communities, anxious to advertise limited time move-in incentives or special offers on the Luxe-On deal portal we debuted recently have asked us for help in loading their special deal.
