Bruce Rawles

 "The Geometry Code"

Bruce will discuss the content of his new book, "The Geometry Code: Universal Symbolic Mirrors of Natural Laws Within Us; Friendly Reminders of Inclusion to Forgive the Dreamer of Separation. This is a remarkable sharing of how, by developing trust in the Inner Guide we all have in common, we can include the symbolic contents of our unconscious mind in very familiar forms, such as geometric ones. Using ancient and modern mirrors, such as universal laws and sacred geometry, this book reveals our true shared selves. I'm impressed with the depth and breadth of this book; it's really profound. Dr.Leonard Laskow, author of Healing With Love.

Moon

While the Sun is the core self through which we find expression in the world, the Moon is the inner life that only close companions get to experience. It's the private you that reveals itself behind closed doors, when you've put on something more comfortable. It's also the unguarded you that has to act on instinct, the one that comes out in a crisis. In astrology, the Moon is the instinctual self, and because of that, some might not feel comfortable with its full expression. In times of great stress, these qualities could be exposed and make the person feel strangely out of control. If you've ever completely lost it, you'll know what it's like when the Sun is eclipsed by the Moon and you become a full-fledged "lunatic."

But in daily life, the Moon is what you fall back on to restore your sense of emotional security. It's the little private habits that are comforting. For some this means reaching out socially, but for others this could mean retreating to a solitary corner of the mind. It also speaks volumes about how you handle your intimate life. Some Moons have a detached air, while others cast a welcoming luminescent glow.

A key relationship in astrology is that between the Sun and the Moon. If someone has an ongoing tug-of-war between the will to act and the emotions, it often shows up there. When you understand the essence of the Moon, you're no longer "in the dark." This is valuable information for understanding the interior life of family members, friends and of course, potential romantic partners.

 Gem Stone

MOONSTONE

Other names for this stone are water opal, fish-eye, and wolf's-eye. Long considered to have inherent connections to the moon by all ancient cultures familiar with the stone, it was used during the waxing of the moon for love charms and during the waning of the moon to foretell the future. The moonstone in India is quite a sacred stone and it is only permitted to be displayed on a yellow cloth. In this culture they called the moonstone Candra Kanta, and it is told that moonlight from a full moon gives the gemstone occult and magical powers. It is believed to bring much good fortune and allows one to see the future.  To dream of moonstone means travel and good health, but may also symbolize the unfolding of spiritual and psychic development. Moonstone has a reflective and calming energy and represents the Great Mother Goddess.

Welcome to the New World!
by Peter Tongue

I think we will be looking back on June as one of the most significant months of this most significant year. How can we tell when we have stepped into the new energies as Mother Earth transforms? Are we there yet? I really think that we are and there have been a number of events, synchronicities, awakenings and alignments to support that notion.

Following our Victoria Temple of the Stars sacred Gemini journey on June 3rd, we moved straight into the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, immediately followed by the Venus Transit across the Sun. Here was a massive impetus to clear all of our old wounds and outdated patterns, unify our opposites, women reclaiming their power and men embracing their feminine side, creating change, freedom and individual expression. I had the opportunity to see the tiny beauty spot gliding across the Sun in the late afternoon making its sacred feminine mark on Father Sun.

Having returned from a recent visit with the Alchemist with whom I had the honour of working alongside at the furnace a few years ago, a surge forward in consciousness has taken place around the Emerald Tablet. The Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus carried the recipe for the manifestation of the Philosopher's Stone and through it the transmutation of base metals like Iron, Tin and Lead into the precious metals of Silver, Gold and Platinum. Everyone focused thier energy on the allegorical coded words to uncover the truth. Our alchemist did that many years ago in producing the philosopher's stone and so now it seemed the focus needed to be on the Emerald Tablet itself rather than the words it carried! Was it the big secret hidden in plain site. It certainly has raised awareness and consciousness in our group as we have been working with it in meditation-perfect timing and more to come!

A series of really neat events followed the meditation on the Emerald Tablet. I had passed around one of the classic pictograms used by the medieval alchemists to crack the code of the "As Above So Below". On Wednesday June 13th, I interviewed Glenn Broughton who is an expert on ley lines, sacred sites and crop circles. During the discussion we talked about communicating with the circlemakers and how you can do that, by setting an intention in meditation. The very next day a crop circle showed up in Italy which was an exact replica of the As Above So Below pictogram! So be careful what you ask for and intend because it is likely to happen!

Next we had the second New Moon in Gemini, a most unusual event which provided a second opportunity to work with those energies and create some form of breakthrough in consciousness. The very next day was the Solstice and combined together we were given another powerful jump start. This point is when we are positioned exactly opposite the Galactic Centre which is the alignment everyone is focusing on for December 21st. I think the shift has already happened. Several factors point to this. Not least of which is an instruction the Elders of the Queros tradition requested their medicine bundle carriers to put their stones to rest. This bundle is the most precious living altar of the Shaman and to be asked to release the stones within is quite remarkable. The reason given was that the New World was starting on the Solstice and it was necessary to deconstruct everything carrying the old energies and begin anew. We are ourselves deconstructing and reconstructing as we go.

This brings me to the energies of Sunday June 24th and our Cancer Workshop day. There was a Yod or Finger of God in the astrology of the day which points to our Divine Destiny. It was at four degrees of Sagittarius. Our astrologer Melanie has been using the Sabian Symbols recently to check on the degree and sign of various planets and the significance of the alignment. This alignment is represented by "A Little Child Learning to Walk With the Encouragement of the Parents!" Wow! I think we have taken our first few baby steps into the New World! Now the good news is that we have our celestial parents overseeing us on this new journey. They can't walk the steps for us, but they can offer their loving support from a higher perspective. We are never alone on this pilgrimmage as a more evolved Power and intelligence watches over us.

The other huge influence on that day was the first of seven precise square aspects between Uranus which is currently in Aries and Pluto which is in Capricorn. Typically squares bring challenges to be overcome, but the Sabian Symbols for these positions suggest there is a great opportunity for synergy. The Uranus symbol is a Crystal Gazer and the keynote is "The Development of an Inner Realization of Organic Wholeness." Seeing the picture as a whole. The Sabian Symbol for Pluto is An Angel Carrying a Harp and the keynote is "The Revelation of the Spiritual Meaning and Purpose at the Core of any Life Situation." Heaven is within us all and all we have to do is tune to the total harmony of life.

It has been suggested that the seven square alignments in the next three years are the Opening of the Seven Seals spoken about in John's Revelation in the Bible and I happen to believe that is true.

We are through the end times, out into a New World and a new level of consciousness, taking our first few baby steps in harmony and rhythm wth all aspects of life. Have fun!

Gemini Workshop
Balancing the Gemini Twins

Our day began with a vigorous climb up Little Mt.Doug which is one of the twins in the Landscape Effigy of Gemini. One twin represents the Christ energy and one the Buddha energy, through a seated Kwan Yin. The two are either side of the Blenkinsop Valley which has the Lochside Trail running straight down its backbone, a family oriented cycling and walking trail, that is a north/south ley line running through the zodiac. The views from the top are spectacular and we opened sacred space around the single and most prominent Arbutus tree. We also visited the site where last year we buried a Lemurian seed crystal in the pineal gland of the Messianic Head of the Christ, clearly visible on Google Earth! It was a wonderful start to our day.

We then returned to Galey Farm to enjoy our shared pot luck picnic and discussion around the qualities of Gemini and the current Astrological impacts which were quite significant. As we arrived at the farm, we were highly amused to see that at the entrance, Babe's Honey had set up a shop outlet and even had some bees and hives on site. One of the classic Gemini descriptions is of the buzzing bees of the mind-the non-stop idle chitter chatter of the ego- a shadow of Gemini-and here they were.

On the positive side, pollination is also one of the Gemini characteristics as the bees and birds go about their task of spreading the pollen and scattering the seeds. It is not a coincidence that Pentecost occurs in Gemini, fifty days after Easter, when the Holy Spirit descended on the Apostles through the Holy Dove, enlightening them to speak in tongues and spread Christ's message around the Globe. Gemini communication through the spoken word being scattered and seeded. Its amazing how these synchronicities continue to occur on this sacred journey.

We were in a huge Gemini influence during this time in many different ways and Melanie discussed the importance of staying focused and aligned through the opposite sign of Sagittarius. Keeping our eye on the target of our destiny, while allowing the brilliant and varied ideas of the Gemini mind to spring forth, only retaining the relevant ones. We discussed the importance of the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse the next day, immediately followed by the much anticipated Venus Transit on the following day-lots to take in energetically!

Our afternoon journey was to cross the valley and spend time in the Kwan Yin effigy to balance the two twins. One important spot in the landscape as discerned by Mary Dowds was the junction of Emily Carr Drive and Maltwood Crescent, the names of two of the most inspiring women of Victoria, with Katharine Maltwood being the brilliant mind behind the discovery of the Glastonbury Zodiac. As we arrived we were once again stunned to see that the signpost on the corner was lying down on the ground! It had both street names and a Stop sign on it and so we assumed that we had the all clear to proceed.

Just beyond this junction is a park which contains the pineal gland in the head of Kwan Yin where we once again paused in reverence to her beautiful flowing energy. We then took a beautiful afternoon stroll around the gentle curves of Kwan Yin and the attractively crafted upper Broadmead residential streets. Along this route, we took a short side trip to connect with a giant Red Maple tree, the twin sister of the one on Madrona Farm we visited in Taurus. We continued on arriving at Donwood which has a lovely vista overlooking Little Mt.Doug where we started the day. This spot is the closest point between the two effigies where we imagined a rainbow bridge arking across the valley joining Christ and Kwan Yin as one. We rested here for a quiet moment of inner reflection.

Directly below us was the Lochside Trail and linking us was a short, steep downhill section that opened out into a stone cave power spot. As we approached, Zia appeared out of the power vortex in her Gemini mask once again stunning the gathered group. She has decided to create a mask for each of the sun signs, creatively representing each of the sets of qualities. She has also decided to work with a metal or mineral associated with each of the sun signs. This greated a problem for Gemini as it is ruled by Mercury and Mercury is itself quite toxic. She was able to find a rice blessing which includes the most common Mercury ore called Cinnabar which came in powder form and mixed with the rice and alcohol, creates a powerful clearing energy for the land. We joined in ceremony for the land as eagles, condors and ravens circled overhead. It felt as if they knew something significant was going on.

We continued our journey heading south down the Lochside Trail towards the Blenkinsop Tressle. This tressle goes over Blenkinsop Lake which is the heart chakra of the whole valley and an eight pointed star intersecting point for a series of ley lines. Here Zia gave us bee pollen to symbolically spread the seeds of new consciousness around the land, the water and the air. It felt really good. Our final stopping point at the base of the trail was a remarkable metallic sculpture which is in the shape of a spiralling cone pointing into the ground. This was the perfect spot to anchor the energies of the day, connect the arking rainbow bridge and offer our conscious blessings for a wonderful growing season for our hard working valley farmers. We closed space with a deep apprecitation for a magnificent day in the Gemini landscape.

Our Cancer Temple of the Stars journey has already taken place and will be reported on next newsletter, and our Leo journey will take place on Sunday August 5th.

Mercury's Stellar Evening Show

The innermost planet, Mercury, climbs relatively high in the evening sky during early July, providing the best viewing opportunities of the year. Mercury appears about ten degrees above the north-west horizon thirty minutes after the Sun goes down. This innermost planet has a reputation for being difficult to see. This is because of its close proximity to the Sun from our vantage point. Mercury never strays far from the Sun's blinding glare which means that the planet can appear only low in the sky, either in the west after sunset or in the east before sunrise. Mercury reaches its greatest elongation from the Sun on the night of June 30th/July 1st heralding in Canada Day, although it can be seen in the evening twilight, ten days either side of that date.

Gregory Marchand reminds us of many things: our fragility, our capacity for love, our deep desire for meaning." - Terence Young, Governor-General's-Award-nominated poet and author of the novel After Goodlake's

"Gregory Marchand's story is at first frightening and ultimately uplifting." - Joe Henderson, author, running coach and former chief editor of Runner's World magazine

Astrological Signs
 Cancer

Cancer is a cardinal water sign ruled by the Moon and natives have a strong survival instinct. They are protective of those they care about, and of themselves too. They are often quite reticent about sharing their inner selves to the rest of the world, and are often caught up in reminisce. Cancers have a reputation for moodiness, although this trait is most evident when the Moon is in Cancer. Cancer needs roots. They resist change to an extent, and concern themselves about being secure and safe in most everything they do. Cancers can be quite intrigued by objects with history attached to them - antiques, photos, souvenirs, and the like. Cancer is a very sensitive sign, and they don't always appreciate it when you are blunt with them. Their reactions to hurt will depend on how thick a shell they have developed. Most Cancers react by withdrawing or retreating. Some have developed an ability to manipulate others to get what they want. As a rule, they avoid direct confrontations, however they will occasionally lash out with one of their sharpened crab claws. Overall, Cancers are, in fact, quite yielding and soft when you have them in the right mood. They are one of the more hospitable signs of the zodiac. Sure, they can be touchy and indirect, but they are also very dependable, caring souls.
