We had another spectacular day of insight and activities on our special day. Finding a new venue each month has been an interesting experience in itself. After several changes, we found ourselves back in Aries, in the head of the Ram, in a recreation center in Lambrick Park. We are obviously being guided and the realization is that we are to transition from the previous sign to the current sign on the day of the workshop-in this case from Aries to Taurus. It was pouring with rain as we gathered inside to learn all about Taurus from an astrological viewpoint with Melanie Lichtinger. We focused on the positive traits of Taurus which involve the full embodiment of the new projects and ideas generated in Aries. Taurus is ruled by Venus and is highly sensuous in nature. Beautiful surroundings, good food and creative expression are used to tease all of the senses, in particular through the throat chakra in song and story telling. The shadow side of Taurus to transcend, is the belief that our possessions bring us stability in our lives. Collecting lots of beautiful possessions can become obsessive in Taurus and they need to learn to focus on their real needs rather than hoarding their belongings. It is also about transmuting the sensuous energies of the second, sacral chakra through creative expression into the throat chakra and ultimately towards enlightenment through the third eye. The star systems associated with this transformational process are the Seven Sisters of the Pleiades, the three stars of Orion's

Belt and the third eye shining through the fixed star, Aldebaran.

 

Lynn Moorhouse then led us on a gentle meditative exercise of building our own mandalas, bringing out all of our individual Taurus issues buried in the unconscious. Robin Gillmor, who is herself a Taurus, then led us in chanting and song. Sounding tones to match our chakras and finding the frequency that we resonate with most comfortably, and then a couple of fun echo action songs to lighten the energy. We decided to have a potluck picnic lunch to touch off the senses again. Still pouring with rain, we had a quiet, slow, sensuous lunch.

 

Mary Dowds then regaled us with the landscape feature of Taurus which is just the Bull's head and one front hoof. This is an amazing feature with beautiful Bow Pond as the Bulls eye, the mouth of the bull touching down on the only maze in Victoria. This is significant as the second labor of Hercules requires him to go into the maze in Crete to find and capture the bull. The significance of this for us is a need to find our lower human expressions of the bull through conscious awareness and understanding and then master them, which Hercules demonstrates by riding the bull and then presenting him to the king.

  

As the day wore on, the rain diminished and by 4.00 PM had almost stopped. Our plan was to gather at the base of the neck of the bull in the landscape feature and take this as our sacral chakra, sound three deep ohms in our sacral and then take a silent meditative walk along a country lane bordered by wonderful trees while shifting the energy into the throat. At the throat chakra of the bull, which is an eight pointed star of ley lines communicating out through the entire landscape zodiac, we sounded three higher frequency ohms through the throat while walking an inward spiral labyrinth right into the throat chakra of the bull. We then continued on our silent walking meditation, bringing the energies up from the throat and into third eye. Once at Bow pond, we opened sacred space, toned three high frequency ohms in the third eye and the sun came out. Following a clearing and an activation through and around the pond, we threw a Lumerian seed crystal into the center of the pond and gathered under the triangle of three magnificent willow trees in quiet reflection. Under the beautiful late afternoon sun, the pond itself was shimmering with light and life. Occasional bubbles came to the surface from underground springs spreading out gorgeous concentric rings which interfered with each other creating marvelous sacred geometrical patterns on the surface. The ducks and baby ducklings presented themselves to complete a very moving and sacred ceremony at the eye of the bull in Taurus.
