Tomorrow is Korean War Veterans Armistice Day. In the past, this day has been proclaimed a half-staff day throughout the USA. In 2009, President Obama signed into law House Bill 2632 (P.L. 111-41) which amends the U.S. Code to recognize National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day on July 27, of each year. The new law acts to "encourage the display of the flag" and makes no reference to half-staff because it is no longer part of the 50 year tribute which started the half staff tradition. Please consider it a full-staff day and fly your flag high in honor of those who served during the Korean War unless you hear otherwise, either from us or through a presidential proclamation.
