Gracias! & Help ...
Thanks to James Fisher for hosting coffee hour Sunday.

We do not have a coffee hour host this weekend. If you can set up coffee and provide some simple goodies, please let me know.

Many of you signed up to host coffee hour this fall, and the schedule is available as part of the church calendar on line. The week e-blast will also include a reminder.
AFAC Bagging This Week
Monday evening at 7:00 we bag groceries for the Arlington Food Assistance Center at 2708 S. Nelson St. We meet up at AFAC, and then gather at David & Cheryl's home for a simple meal and some good conversation. It's always helpful to have a clue how many we're feeding, so if you can shoot me a note it will be much appreciated: revdocdee@gmail.com.
Fall Meeting of CPC
The annual October meeting of the congregation will be held Sunday, October 31, following worship.

Greetings!

So I'm not quite in Asbury Park. I'm close, being stuck in a motel somewhere in southern Jersey this afternoon as the rain caught up with me and my motorcycle on the way home from the Songs of Peace and Justice conference at Stony Point Center.

Come to worship this Sunday morning, and you can share in a few such songs, and some reflections on movement building and the state of the church. Yes, Stony Point just does this to a person.

Come and worship.

peace,

David

P.S.: Sunday morning we receive our monthly food offering for AFAC. Please give generously that our neighbors may eat.
Something New for Sunday School

This Sunday is the first meeting of the Family Circle for the church youth and their families, directly after church in Classroom C.  We will be exploring a new topic each month.

Please bring your calendars so that we can plan the meeting times for the rest of the year. We will have about an hour of education stuff and then the adults will map out some logistics for the coming months.

If you want to be part of this new vision of caring for our children and youth, please join us.
