Thanks to Mike and Clark for hosting coffee hour Sunday. There spectacular offerings also served as a lovely ending to Monday's AFAC evening. Thanks again to Cheryl for hosting the baggers.

We look forward this Sunday to the culinary offerings of David Pitts and Travis Reindl.

I keep telling myself that we really will drop down to every other week on the e-news during summer, but there keeps on being news that you need.

So, three quick things.

First, tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. the Virginia Theological Seminary (on Seminary Rd. in Alexandria) is hosting a free

church arts festival.

In addition to lots of beautiful liturgical arts, our friend John Bell from the Iona Community in Scotland will be leading some community singing.

Secondly, if you have knitted rainbow scarves for General Assembly, please bring them to church Sunday so that Peg True can transport them to Minneapolis next week.
Third, on Sunday, July 4, we will worship in song and spoken word, celebrating our shared faith and freedom. If you would like to participate -- perhaps reading a piece of great American writing -- please let me know as soon as possible.

Sunday morning we will bring our month of hope to a hope-filled conclusion. I hope to see you there!
