In 2006 the Town Board of Trustees approved a policy regarding retail sales at the Estes Park Visitor Center. This policy addressed the following issues regarding sales and restricted those sales to the following: post cards, calendars, Rocky Mountain Nature Association, and Museum titles produced by those groups.

Recently the Town Board's Community Development/Community Services Committee was approached and asked to allow showing DVD movies by local movie/cable television production company owner Nick Molle and to possibly sell his DVDs at the Visitor Center. This question prompted the question should the Town of Estes Park change or revise their retail sales policy at their Visitor Center to allow additional retail items for sale that are specific to Estes Park to our Visiting Guests at the center.  We are asking for your input as a community stakeholder within the Town of Estes Park. Your response to the following questions would be greatly appreciated and we need a response by June 8th 12PM. Your responses will be shared with the Town Board of Trustees at their June 12th study session.

1)      As stated, the Town of Estes Park's policy regarding retail sales at their Visitor Center restricts sales to specific items. Should the Town of Estes Park change this policy?

a.       No...leave as is.

b.      Yes....change it.

If you answered yes, please provide a brief response as to what you think the Town should be allowed to sell at the Visitor Center.

2)      Should the Town of Estes Park allow a local business to play their DVD movies at the Visitor Center as long as the movies are specific to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park?

a.       No

b.      Yes

If yes, please provide a brief response if you so choose to do so.
