1st Annual Estes Park WINTER FESTIVAL!
Martin Luther King Weekend, Jan. 15-18, 2010
A few important, and 11th hour details and announcements... Please READ and PLEASE volunteer if you are able! The success of this event depends on all of us being involved.
Goodie Bags - To thank the Saturday chili cooks for their contribution and time (they have to cook onsite in the tent), we will be giving each cook a goodie bag. Bags are being donated by Rustic Mountain Charm. We need donations of chotchkie items for the bags from local businesses, please. Promotional items (like things with your logo on them, hint, hint) such as mugs, magnets, gift certificates, coupons, pens, paper pads, key chains, etc. are all typical for goodie bags, --but it can be anything. We'll need at least 20 of each item (one for each cook). Please drop off goodies at Rams Horn Village, Snowy Peaks Winery or Estes Park Condos as soon as possible. We are ALSO looking for local restaurants to participate in the the Sunday cook-off. This opportunity couldn't be easier. At the very least, drop off your chili and we will Shaffer it, sterno it, put up a sign advertising your restaurant and even serve it for you! --NO charge! Volunteers are still needed for for Saturday or Sunday (10 am - 5 pm). A 3 hour (heated) shift gets you free wine/beer/chili for both Saturday and Sunday. "Sitings" will be at Crags Lodge on Friday for the storytelling event hosted by the Wedding Assoc., Mary's Lake Lodge Saturday evening/dinner and The Otherside Restaurant for Sunday Brunch. We are still looking for two additional restaurants to host Jack's breakfast (for two) on Saturday morning and Jack's dinner (for two) on Sunday night. Estes Park Condos is hosting Jack's accommodations Friday - Monday. Jack will be at Bond Park both Sat. and Sun. for photo opp's.
*Jack will encourage those taking pictures with him to consider donating $5 toward fire victims, --but not required.
