Greetings!
Hope everyone is still having a wonderful summer! There are just over 5 weeks left before the 2010-11 school year begins. As students continue to work on summer reading, you can always find the summer reading lists on our website by clicking here.
The latest article by CCS student journalist and rising senior Ben Schaffer appeared in the June 24th edition of the Post & Courier. You can
read an online version of his article here. His next article will be published in the fall.
CCS's own "The 3 Dudes" (Lower School students Sam, Jack, and Roger Ploch) will be playing at the new Red's Ice House at Bohicket Marina this Friday, July 16th at 6:30pm. If you're looking for a fun family activity, please come out and support these talented young musicians!
"The 3 Dudes" performed at the 2009 CCS Oyster Roast in November.
If you know of any fellow parents who are not receiving announcements, please forward this to them and encourage them to contact the front office to insure we have their correct e-mail address. Visit our website for the latest news and updates at www.charlestoncollegiate.org. |
FROM THE BUSINESS OFFICE
|
|
Monthly Tuition Payers: You should have already received your first invoice from Smart Tuition, which was due on July 5th. If you did not receive it, that means you have not yet completed the enrollment process for the upcoming year! Please contact the Business Office as soon as possible.
Tuition Insurance: All parents who have not paid in full for the upcoming year are required to purchase Tuition Insurance. The premium is 3.2% of the total tuition. Be on the lookout for this invoice in the mail, and please return the premium to CCS no later than August 15th.
Past due tuition: All balances from last year must be paid in full before a student may return for the new school year! If you are unsure if this applies to you, please contact the Business Office.

Last Chance to Host an Exchange
Student! Attention CCS Families,
This is your last chance to play host to a Chinese exchange student next year. We have yet to find a host for Haotian Du (a tenth grade boy from China who is eager to spend the year at CCS), so we are making one final offer of a $3,000 tuition credit to any family who would be interested in hosting. If you are interested in this opportunity, you must call the admission office by Thursday, July 15th. Please let us know if you might want to play host, as we would hate to miss out on the opportunity to broaden the cultural perspective of the entire CCS community.
Thanks, and we hope everyone is enjoying the summer.
