CYBERBULLYING INFORMATION SESSION FOR PARENTS

Set for Thursday Evening
The topic of cyberbullying has dominated the news in
recent weeks, highlighting the sometimes tragic consequences and the legal
ramifications of this 21st Century issue. Charleston Collegiate School will host a session for concerned
parents Thursday, April 15 at 7:00pm in the Smith Barney office at
200 Meeting
St. Dr. Chip Taylor will lead the session. Dr. Taylor is
Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology at The Citadel and Clinical
Assistant Professor, College of Health
Professions at the Medical University of South
Carolina. He has recently presented and published works related to the effects
of cyberbullying in children. The session will also include an introduction to
cyberspace/social media, presented by a Charleston Collegiate student. Parents
will be introduced to social media, learn how to navigate the sites, and
discover how social sites are used from the perspective of a
teenager.

before 6:50pm, you may enter through the front entrance of 200 Meeting Street
and take the elevator to the 4th Floor. You will be directed from
there. However, it may be more convenient to park in the garage behind the
building (enter from either Hayne
St. or Pinckney St.) and park on the top level. There is a door that enters directly to the 4th Floor and the
Smith Barney offices. This entrance will be open prior to and throughout the
session.
