 Inquiring Minds Want to Know . . . About Science
Those of you who experienced Bobby Hemingway's exciting
class assignment on Move Up Night know the passion and enthusiasm he brings to
the classroom. Mr. "H" has just announced a major initiative for next year's
Middle/Intermediate Level science courses.
The SEPUP curriculum was funded by the National Science
Foundation and is designed to engage students in hands on exploration based on
the approach of scientific inquiry. A
combination of experiments, readings, models, debates, role-plays, and projects
helps students discover science, learn
content, and experience the relevance of science in today's world. This state of the art program integrates
perfectly with the CCS philosophy of inter-disciplinary learning and represents
a significant investment in our science program. We'll keep you posted as the program debuts in
2010.
