Welcome back to Charleston Collegiate! While the 2009-10 school year doesn't officially begin until August 19, I will send an e-mail to parents each week to apprise you of the activities going on
at your child's school. These announcements will usually come on Monday afternoons. You may
also view announcements on the new flat-screen televisions posted by the school's front office, or visit our website for the latest news and updates at www.charlestoncollegiate.org.

"Pink" Sheets, "Green" Sheets, & Immunization Forms Emergency Contact Forms ("pink" sheets), Medication Information Forms ("green" sheets), and immunization records (for new students) must be turned into the front office by the first day of school.

Books, Uniforms, & Supplies It is very important that your child is ready to go on the first day of school! Please be sure that your child has all of his/her school uniform needs, supplies, and books in order to start the year off on the right foot.
For book orders, please visit the MBS website. To order uniform apparel, visit Educational Outfitters; specific details about this year's dress code is available here. Contact your division head with any specific questions about books or supplies.

Summer Facilities Improvements
Charleston Collegiate wishes to express appreciation to the following for their help with improvements to CCS facilities over the summer: E.H. Walpole family/Sunnyside Farms for the donation of time and labor moving the aluminum bleachers to the guest side of the football field; Isaiah Lavelle and Jonathon Brewer for carpentry assistance; Ashley Easterlin, Contractor; The Rawson Family for mulch donations; Tom Wood, new doors for lower school restrooms; and members of the Parents' Association and Booster Club for helping Jan Walpole this summer in preparation for this school year.

Lower School Pick-Up & Drop-Off Procedure Please use the carpool line for
drop-off and pick-up, rather than walking your child into school. This instills
independence in your child and less confusion in the Lower School hallway.

You can order lunches through Schoolhouse Fare for the month of September from now through August 24th. Visit the Schoolhouse Fare website for ordering or further information.

Innisbrook Dates & New Parent/Mentor BBQ
This year's Innisbrook Fundraiser starts on August 24 with a kickoff during Lower School lunch. Sales begin on August 25 and end on Sept. 15. Complete informational packets to come!
A big thank you to Atlantic Island Properties for sponsoring the New Family/Mentor BBQ on Friday, August 14th. Thanks also to Jim & Nick's for the delicious barbeque and to the more than 100 people who turned out for this event. It was a wonderful way to welcome new families to the CCS community!

Sundevil Kickoff & "Supper with the Sundevils"
Join the fun and enjoy the food!! Bring your family and have "Supper with the Sundevils", every home football game beginning with the Sundevil Kickoff, August 28th @ 6pm!
Remember to purchase your season pass which gives your immediate family entry to every home game for every sport. Passes may be purchased at Parent Orientation, at the Sundevil Kickoff, or make your check out to CCS Booster Club for $90, and leave it with Miss Tiffany in the front office. We will mail your pass to you.

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Sign Up by August 28th Please see attachments on our website for information on after-school activities for Lower School. Our equestrian program and violin, piano, & guitar classes are NOT limited to Lower School students. After-school program sign-ups are going to be available at Parent
Orientation on August 17th and then at the front desk until August
28th. Registration forms must be turned in with FULL payment.
