Pork Roast Dinner/Feast of Lights - THIS SUNDAY!!
| Our annual Pork Roast Dinner potluck will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 22. Sign-up on the poster in the Parish Hall to let us know you are coming, and to let us know what side dish/salad/dessert you will bring.
The Feast of Lights will follow at 6:30 p.m. The Feast of Lights is a service of Epiphany - of the coming of light into the world and the spread of that light. It tells the story of the coming of Christ and the spread of the light through the lighting of candles and readings and hymns. The church starts in darkness and in the darkness one light comes in - the light of Christ - from that light two candles are lit for Mary and Joseph and so on until everyone in the church is holding a light. It is traditionally a service conducted by children and youth. So all children and youth ages 8 and up are invited to participate. |

Annual Meeting - January 29
|
The Annual Parish Meeting will be Sunday January 29. We will call to order at 9:00. There are several orders of business before the annual meeting:
- The election of wardens and vestry members. The slate of nominees is listed below.
- Award the "Pauly" awards. We started these two years ago - they honor some people at St. Paul's who do often unacknowledged things.
- Receive an update on the status of our Capital Campaign.
- Receive the reports of the vestry on the budget for 2012 and the finances of 2011 as well as the reports of the various groups and ministries of the parish.
If you are the head of a parish committee/ministry, and you have not yet gotten your Annual Report in to the office, please do so ASAP. Thank you to everyone who was timely in your submission! :-)

From the Diocese: A Movie & Conversation
|
What does the popular 2011 movie "The Help" tell about us about recognizing God's grace to create a more inclusive world? "The Help" will be used as the basis for an exploration of diversity and how one might hold on to their sense of self while being open to others who are different from themselves.
Join us for the movie, snacks, conversation and an opportunity to learn from each other and our diverse perspectives.
