Parish Work Day - THIS SATURDAY!!
raking clip art

We will have a Fall Work Day on Saturday November 5 from 9 to 2  with lunch provided.  There are lots of little projects that need to be done around the church - both inside and outside.  Come and help and have some fun.  Many hands make light work and there are projects for all ages and all levels of skill and physical ability.

All Saints - THIS SUNDAY!!

All Saints' Day will be celebrated on November 6.  A part of the All Saints' service is remembering those who have died and are now a part of the community of Saints in heaven.  If you have someone you would like to have remembered during the service please send the name to Liz in the office - paulspals@gmail.com or 632-8221 - by the end of the day today (November 3).

Day of Change - THIS SUNDAY!!
Money clip art

One of the customs at St. Paul's is that on the day that we change the clocks, St. Paul's collects your spare change and gives it to a program or organization that is making a change in lives.

This fall the Day of Change collection will be going to the scholarship funds of the youth programs of the Diocese.  So, on November 6 please bring your change to church and put it in the basket - and remember a $10 bill is change for a $20.

Acolyte Commissioning - THIS SUNDAY!!

On November 6 at the 10 o'clock service we will be commissioning our new acolytes and celebrating the ministry of our acolytes.  All acolytes should plan on attending if possible.

Fall Forum: Bullying - November 9
Our fall forum on Eldercare is now past, but we will be holding a community forum on Bullying (school, workplace, and elsewhere) this coming Wednesday (November 9) at 7 p.m.  It is open to anyone in the community who wishes to attend.

Diocesan Safe Church Training - November 19

The Diocese will once again be offering Safe Church training on Saturday, November 19, at the Diocesan Ministry Center (1064 Brighton Rd., Tonawanda).  The training will go from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a break for lunch in between.  Sign-in will begin at 8:30, so that the morning session can begin promptly at 9.  All parish leaders and those who work with children and young people need to take this training every 3 years.  If you have not had this training within the past 3 years, please plan to attend.  If you are not sure whether you need to take the training or not, please see Pastor Vicki.  There is no cost for the training, but pre-registration is required.  You can do so by mail, or online.  Brochures are available in the parish office if you wish to register by mail.

Sunday November 20 is the Feast of Christ the King - it is also the day that the youth group is taking over the 10 o'clock service.  The youth have been planning a service that takes the themes from the Star Wars movies and brings them into the sermon, the liturgy and the service.  After all, even Wookies acknowledge Christ the King - it should be an interesting service with new ways of looking at all kinds of things we take for granted.  Come and see.

The 8 o'clock service will be the normal Rite I celebration.

Can You Help?
The Altar Guild is in need of (clean & empty) coffee cans and half-gallon jugs.  These are used to transport the Altar flowers to our shut-ins after the Sunday services, and are an on-going need.  Thank you!
St. Martha's Guild Fundraiser
Delta Sonic car wash tickets are available once again from this coming Sunday, through the end of December.  At $12 for a Super Wash (including a 5-day guarantee for a rewash), they make a great gift.  See Marje Hagberg to puchase.

Be sure to check out the November Bell for details of our annual Wreath and Centerpiece Sale!
A Reminder from the Altar Guild

  • The suggested donation is $20, but donations in any amount will be gratefully accepted..
St. Paul's on Facebook
Facebook clip artAfter some discussion, the parish office has decided that a Facebook "page"  better suits our purposes than our former group, so we have created one.  Just go HERE, and click "like", and you're all set!  Anything we post will begin showing up in your news feed.
