Ministry Fair - THIS SUNDAY!!
| |
It's time for the Ministry Fair - Sept 25 following the 10 o'clock service. The Fair is a time to celebrate what we are doing at St. Paul's and for parishioners to become better acquainted with the various ministries which are available to you for stewardship opportunities. There will be coffee, food and fellowship - it doesn't get much better than that. Our goal is to have every group/ministry at St Paul's to participate. Please see Donna Leney for more detailed information. All are welcome!!

Blessing of the Animals - October 2
|
October 4 is the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi. St. Francis is known, among
other things, as a friend of animals. One of the traditions of the church is to bless the animals on/near St. Francis' day.
St. Paul's will be holding a blessing of the animals on Sunday October 2 at 2 p.m. Bring your pets, your stuffed animals, your friends and your friend's pets and come along.
We will bless both live and stuffed animals. Please have your pet on a leash or in a carrier or in some other way under control.
We will be collecting donations of pet food for the Humane Society.

Our Little Roses Tea - October 8
| |
The annual diocesan Tea for Our Little Roses will take place at 1 pm on Saturday, October 8, here at St. Paul's.
Besides tea and all the trimmings (sandwiches, scones and cookies), there will be a large basket auction, items for sale from Honduras and two special guests. Carol Garrison and Diana Frade, the founder of Little Roses Home for Girls in Honduras, will be with us. This will give everyone an opportunity to ask questions and hear stories of her experiences with the girls and the home.
Tickets for this event are $25, and are available from Debbie George (631-0467), and from the Parish Office (632-8221).

Fall UTO Ingathering - October 9
|
The Fall Ingathering of the United Thank Offering will take place on Sunday, October 9. The UTO has been in existence since 1889. (The amount of the first offering was $87.) By combining the Spring and Fall offerings as a means of giving thanks, the national UTO usually offers over two million dollars in grants for mission and ministry throughout the world. There are special envelopes available. (If anyone would like a blue box for use throughout the year, please let the office know.)

Acolyte Training - October 9
|
Are you interested in being an acolyte? Now is your chance. We will be having an acolyte training session on Sunday, October 9 after the 10 o'clock service. We are looking for both youth and adult acolytes. Youth acolytes need to be nine years old or turning nine before the end of the school year. Adult acolytes can be any age. Come one, come all.

St. Paul's on Facebook
| After some discussion, the parish office has decided that a Facebook "page" better suits our purposes than our former group, so we have created one. Just go HERE, and click "like", and you're all set! Anything we post will begin showing up in your news feed.
