This Week at St. Paul's
Community Carnival - THIS SATURDAY!!

On Saturday May 14 we will hold a Community Carnival at St. Paul's - the proceeds of the Carnival will benefit the earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan.

There will be cotton candy, popcorn and hot dogs, a bounce house and games galore.  The carnival will run from 1 - 3 p.m.

There is a sign up sheet in the parish hall for those who are able to help.  Also on the poster are some flyers about the Carnival - please take a few and post them in your office or a store you frequent.

No Dinner Plans for This Sunday Yet?
Then come have a Turkey Dinner!  Amherst Presbyterian Church (121 South Youngs, Williamsville) is holding a Turkey Dinner Fundraiser this coming Sunday, from 4-6 p.m.  Dinners are $10 for adults and $6.50 for children, and include turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, gravy, roll, beverage and dessert.  Proceeds will go to fund that church's 2011 youth mission trip to Kentucky.
Congratulations!
Congratulations to Dan Pinti, who will become the Priest-in-Charge of St. Aidan's, Alden on July 3.

A date has not yet been set for Dan's impending ordination to the priesthood, but as soon as information is available, we will send it out.
Elder Forum - May 19
Please join us for the last Elder Forum to be held May 19 at 7pm in St. Paul's library. The topic will be "Elder Placement: When to decide an eldercare facility is needed."   The forums have been very informative and make facing our elder years a bit more comfortable.  Bring questions, share stories.
Chiavetta's Chicken Fundraiser - June 18
Roast Chicken

We will once again hold a Chiavetta's Chicken Dinner fundraiser on Saturday, June 18.  Pre-sale tickets are now available, and are $10.

If you can donate any of the following items, please sign up on the poster in the parish hall:

  • potatoes (60 lbs.)
  • noodles (30 lbs.)
  • mayonnaise
  • onions (10 lbs.)
  • carrots (20 lbs.)
  • celery (20 lbs.)
  • mustard
  • parsley
  •  vinegar
  • eggs

Also, we will need people to help out on the day of the event, so be on the lookout for a sign-up poster to help us fill shifts before, during, and after the event.  Thanks!

Can you knit or crochet?

yarnHelp us turn all of the yarn that's been donated into blanket squares for Roswell and and full-size blankets for Project Linus.  Pick up an instruction sheet and a kit from the church.  Instruction sheets are on the poster in the kitchen hallway, and kits are available from Barb Dascomb.
