Please sign up to host a coffee hour - the sign up sheet is in the hallway by the kitchen.  There is a lot of food in the freezer that could be thawed and used for coffee hour.

The office will be closed on Monday, January 17, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  There will be no Bible Study.
 

Small Plates continues!
Small Plates on Sunday January 16 we will be exploring the development of the church year and the spiritual focuses of the times.  The class will be from 9:15 to 9:45 and will also meet on January 23. 
Martin Luther King Day Service - Monday January 17

Joint Deneary Service is at 6 p.m. at St. Peter's Church 205 Longmeadow Rd. Eggertsville, 14226
 
Youth grades 4 and up are invited to tour a station on the underground railroad before the service.  Any interseted youth (or adults who want to come and help drive) should meet at St. Paul's at 2 p.m.  We will gather with the larger group at St. Peter's and return to St. Peter's for dinner before the service.  Parents can pick up their youth at the service.

 

If you are not planning on attending the service please have any gently used outerwear that you would like to donate at church by Sunday.

20s/30s Group Murder Mystery Dinner - January 22
detective clip artThose of you who have expressed an interest in participating in the 20s/30s Group Murder Mystery Dinner, should expect an email invitation from Jason later this week.  In it, you will find a link to go to a website and register for the dinner.  Once you do so, you'll be assigned a character to play, and given more info about the dinner.  So keep watching your email, and be sure to RSVP when your invite comes.
Pork Roast Dinner & Feast of Lights - January 23!
Our Winter Potluck will take place on Sunday, January 23.  Pork Roast, potatoes, and beverages will be supplied.  Please sign up in the parish hall with how many are coming and if you are bringing a salad, dessert or other side.  The fun begins at 3 p.m. with dinner at 4:30.  Following dinner, we will have the Feast of Lights service led by the children and youth.  Harris Hill United Methodist Church is joining us for the fun, food, fellowship and worship.
Annual Meeting & Elections - January 30
The Annual Parish Meeting will be Sunday January 30.  We will call to order at 9:00.  Here is the list of those running for Warden/Vestry:

If you head up a parish committee or group, then please turn your Annual Report in to the office ASAP, so they they can be compiled for the booklet.  The absolute latest to turn your report in is January 20.  Please don't make the office chase you down.  Thank you!!!
Kitchen Wishlist
A recent potluck dinner made us aware of several small kitchen items and utensils that we are presently lacking.  If anyone has any extras of these items that they are willing to part with, we would be very grateful to received them.

DeVeaux Scholarships

Scholarships are once again available for Episcopal students who are either currently attending, or about to attend Niagara University.  There are several different scholarships available.  For more information, or to apply, please speak with Pastor Vicki.  The deadline for application for awards for the 2011-2012 academic year is January 15, 2011.
