The Christmas Pageant will take place this year on Sunday, December 19, at the 10:00 service, in place of the sermon.

Greening the Church - THIS SUNDAY!!
wreath and candle clip art

Join us after services on Sunday, December 19, as we prepare the church for Christmas.  We will be hanging wreaths, arranging poinsettias around the altar, putting bows on the windows, setting up the crèche, and changing the colours on the altar (as well as debuting some new altar hangings!).  Lunch will be provided.  Many hands make light work, so please join us!

Facebook Ad - DO NOT CLICK!!

Once again, we are using a Facebook ad to help us get the word out about St. Paul's.  Next week, from Monday to Friday, we will be running the ad pictured at right.  If it comes up for you on Facebook, PLEASE DO NOT CLICK IT!  We pay for the ad based on the number of people who click on it.  Clicking on it will only take you to our website.  Thank you!

The stockings for the ECW's Annual Christmas Outreach Drive are now on the ECW bulletin board.  For those of you unfamiliar with the program, here's how it works:  Pick a stocking off the board and take it with you.  Purchase the item(s) written on the stocking and bring both the unwrapped gift and the stocking back to church.  We will be wrapping the gifts here at church on December 19.  Please make sure that all gifts are brought here to church by December 19 (this Sunday) at the very latest.  Thank you to everyone for your continued support of this longstanding effort!  If you have questions, see Aimee Jandzinski.

Christmas Shopping?

If you are doing any shopping on Amazon.com this season (or any time!), please remember to first visit our website (stpaulsharrishill.org), and click on the Amazon ad that appears at the very bottom of every page.  That link will take you to Amazon where you can complete your shopping, and St. Paul's will receive a small percentage of what you spend, at no added cost to you.  Thank you!

Stumped for a gift idea?  Why not consider a brick in the memorial walkway here at St. Paul's?  Bricks do not have to be "in memory" of someone/something, but rather, can read however you like.  Say "thank you" for someone special in your life in a permanent way.  Buy a brick!

Kitchen Wishlist
A recent potluck dinner made us aware of several small kitchen items and utensils that we are presently lacking.  If anyone has any extras of these items that they are willing to part with, we would be very grateful to received them.
  • a set of SMALL pots
  • a set of ceramic mixing bowls
  • an electric mixer
  • a rubber spatula (or two)
  • a potato peeler (or two)
  • a potato masher
  • a knife sharpener
  • a colander
Thank you!
DeVeaux Scholarships

Scholarships are once again available for Episcopal students who are either currently attending, or about to attend Niagara University.  There are several different scholarships available.  For more information, or to apply, please speak with Pastor Vicki.  The deadline for application for awards for the 2011-2012 academic year is January 15, 2011.

Can You Help?

We are looking for people to be part of planning teams for a couple of events that will be happening in the spring. Each team is looking for 3 or 4 people to work with Pastor Vicki on the events.  They are:  The Episcopal Community Services campaign in March; the Easter Egg Hunt in April; The Carnival in May and a Vacation Bible School this summer.  The sign up sheet is in the parish hall.
