The Parish Office will be closed tomorrow (Friday, July 9).  Thanks!
A Note about Summer Word/Chalice
Several people did notify the office in June that they would be away for all/part of the summer, and the July schedule was created to reflect this.  If you were scheduled for a Sunday when you are unavailable, but you failed to notify the office prior to the July Bell be published, it is your responsibility to locate a replacement for yourself.  The deadline to notify the office of your August schedule is July 15.  Thank you!!!
Youth Mission Trip - Sign Up by THIS SUNDAY!

Since we had to cancel our trip to Mexico due to the worsening political
situation - we have scheduled a local Mission Trip for this summer.  We will be working at the Buffalo City Mission on Tupper Street in Buffalo and staying at St. Mark's Church on Ontario Street in Buffalo.  The Mission Trip is open to youth who will be entering grades 7 through 12 in September and the high school class of 2010.  We have invited the Eastern Erie Deanery churches to join us.

We will be gathering at St. Mark's at 8 p.m. on Wednesday July 28; Working at the Buffalo City Mission on July 29 & 30 and spending the day at Darien Lake on Saturday July 31.  The cost for the trip is $45 per person.

Parents can pick up their youth at Darien Lake at 4 p.m. on Saturday - or parents and siblings can join the group for the day at Darien Lake - the cost of the Darien Lake tickets are $18 and parents & siblings will be responsible for their own lunch.

For more details see the flyer and permission slip on the youth bulletin boards.  Permission slips must be in to Andrea or Pastor Vicki by July 11.
CAMP!

The Diocesan Summer Camp program provides youth with a chance to expand their faith, discover their gifts, make new friends and have a good time.

There are two camp sessions still accepting sign-ups:

Junior High Camp is at the Dunkirk Conference Center for those entering grades 7 - 9.  Pastor Vicki is on staff and will take the first three youth from St. Paul's to sign up down with her.  The focus is on how we can use our gifts and talents to make changes in our world.  The limit is 30 for this camp so sign up quickly. The cost is $330.  Junior High Camp is August 8-14.

Sleep Away Camp is at the Lake Chautauqua Lutheran Center for those entering grades 3 - 6.  Deacon Dan is on staff for this camp.  This is a safe, nurturing introduction to the camping experience.  The cost is $115.  Sleep Away Camp is August 18-21.

We have had a few donations of scholarship money for camp.  Please don't let cost keep you away from camp - see Pastor Vicki if cost is an issue for you.
Bisons Game - August 8

On Sunday, August 8, St. Paul's will head downtown at 1:00 p.m. to watch the Bisons take on Columbus.  We have 50 seats reserved in Section 112 (first base side) under the overhang - 5 rows of 10 seats each.  The group rate is $8.75 per seat, and the money is due to Ron Stefanski or the church office by August 1.  Ron will pick up the tickets on August 2 or 3, and they will be available for pick-up later that week from Ron, or distributed on the morning of the 8th.  We hope you consider joining us, for what is sure to be a fun game!
Garage Sale - August 14
Garage Sale clip artNow is your chance to sell those items around the house that you no longer use or want.  We are having a garage sale at St. Paul's on Saturday, August 14th.   The event is rain or shine.   Outdoor spaces are available for $10 and indoor spaces for $15.  For further information, please contact the church office or see Ron Stefanski, Bob Scheib or Mark Hout.  Sale policies and registration form can be found HERE.
Summer Favorites
During July and August we are singing hymns that are favorites of parishioners.  For July 11 they are:

Hymn 427 - When morning guilds the skies
Chosen by - Jeanne Lenhardt, because it was her mother's favorite
Hymn 602 - Jesu, Jesu
Chosen by - Dave Crowther because it is joyful and simple
LEVAS 191 - His Eye is on the Sparrow
Chosen by - Marje Hagberg because He cares for the least of living things I know He care for me.  I feel uplifted.
Hymn 376 - Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee
Chosen by - Ruth Kryszak
