On our website...
|
|
| At the bottom of each page, you will now see a link to Amazon.com. If
you click it, and allow it to take you to that site, then St. Paul's
will automatically receive a percentage of whatever you spend on that
visit for referring you. So, if you do a lot (or a little!) of
shopping with Amazon, stop by the St. Paul's site first, and you'll be
helping the church as well! Thanks!

Day of Change
|
Spring is coming - how do we know? Because the clocks are springing forward - at 2 a.m. on Sunday March 14. That means that March 14 is a day of change.
On the Days of Change we change our clocks and we collect our loose change to help change the lives of others. This Day of Change the change will be going to support our Deanery Friendship Partnership Family, refugees who are coming to Buffalo to build a new life in peace and safety.
Bring your change to church on Sunday March 14 and put it in the basket on your way to communion. And remember that a $20 bill is change for $100.

Fiesta Dinner
|
The Youth Group will be holding a Fiesta Dinner, featuring tacos, enchiladas, sopapillas, and beans & rice, on Sunday, March 14, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the church. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for children under 6, and may be obtained in advance by calling the parish office (632-8221), or speaking with Andrea Brown. All the proceeds from this event will go to support the Youth Mission Trip, so come out, eat, and support a great cause. Ole! |
Bowling Outing
|
Join the fun for our second annual Bowling Event on Sunday, March 21, from 2-4 p.m. at Transit Lanes. We have 8 lanes (40 slots) set aside for a low price of $12 per person for 2 hours of bowling and shoe rental. You should arrive half an hour prior to the event in order to get your shoes and select your lane and ball.
To reserve a spot, see Ron Stefanski or Mary McCall.
(Please note that the March Bell incorrectly lists this event on March 14. This is an error - we apologize for any inconvenience.)

Lenten Education Series

We are having a Lent Education series on Thursday evening - the topic this year will be God and Money - we will explore what God says about money and how our faith impacts our decisions about money.
The schedule for March 4, 11, & 18 is:
6:00 - 6:45 Potluck dinner - stop by KFC or the deli on your way home.
6:45 - 7:30 - Presentation & discussion
(and since you're already here you should stay and join the choir for practice)
On March 25 we will have a public forum on financial and life planning for the elderly including issues of Medicare, Long term care insurance, estate planning and planned giving.

Bishop's Gala
|
The 2010 Bishop's Gala is on April 16 at 6 p.m. at Salvatore's. Proceeds of the Gala support Episcopal Community Services. This will be Michael and Carol's last Gala before their retirement. A feature of the Gala is a basket auction. Since St. Paul's is the church that children built and since we have a fair number of grandparents - Grandma and Grandpa's story time seemed like an appropriate theme. Cookie mix (for making cookies for story time) and a bottle of wine (for grandma & grandpa after the kids have fallen asleep) have already been donated. What we need is some children's books. Please bring a new children's book to church - we'll have a box in the office for them. Tickets to the gala are $65 and can be ordered from Richard Witt at 822-9769. Donna Leney has agreed to organize a table for St. Paul's folk to sit together - please speak with her to coordinate this.
