This Week at St. Paul's
St. Paul's is and is becoming a busy place.  Lots of things are starting and a few things are changing.  If you have questions or comments or want to help, get in touch with Pastor Vicki at paulsrector@gmail.com or 632-2881
Mission Trip in Our Own Backyard - August 29
We will be meeting at St. Paul's at 7:30 a.m. for a 7:45 a.m. depature.

Shovels and Wheelbarrows are especially needed by the workers.  If you can't go, but could loan yours, drop them off at church.

Those coming need to wear boots and long pants and bring with you, cloth gloves, either rubber or latex gloves, a shovel and bucket and clean clothes to wear home.

High school youth are welcome to come, but they must have two copies of the signed permission form on the Diocesan website

It would be helpful to have an idea of how many people are coming.  If you think you are able to help e-mail pastor Vicki at paulsrector@gmail.com (or just click reply to this one :))

We are also still collecting funds to assist the three churches hit by the flooding.  Make your check payable to St. Paul's and marked diaster relief or put loose cash in the offering plate on Sunday.

There is also a special need for diapers and baby wipes, just bring them to church and we'll get them down there.
Backpack Blessing

backpackAs hard as it is to believe, school is starting soon.  In order to start the year off right, all students & teachers are invited to bring your backpacks to St. Paul's on August 30 at 4:00 p.m. for a service of blessing.

Please invite any children or teachers you know

We are also collecting school supplies for need children in our community, please bring your donations to church or to the service

Celebration of a New Ministry and 60 years
front of churchBishop Garrison will be at St. Paul's on
Friday, September 18 for the Celebration of the Ministry of our new rector and of the 60th Anniversary of the Dedication of St. Paul's, which is that day.

We will bless the rectory at 6:30 p.m. and start the service of Celebration at 6:45.  Please mark your calendars and plan to be there.

Donna Leney is coordinating the reception and particularly needs desserts.  Contact her at dleney@verizon.net

Since St. Paul's is known as the church that children built, children will have a major role.
