Mission Trip in Our Own Backyard - August 29
We have the opportunity to help with the clean up of the floods in the Southern Tier.   A work group will be going down on Saturday August 29.

We will be meeting at St. Paul's at 7:30 a.m. for a 7:45 a.m. depature.

Those coming need to wear boots and long pants and bring with you, cloth gloves, either rubber or latex gloves, a shovel and bucket and clean clothes to wear home.  We will have a small supply of N95 particulate masks, but if you can stop at Home Depot or Lowes and pick one up.

High school youth are welcome to come, but they must have two copies of the signed permission form on the Diocesan website

We are also still collecting funds to assist the three churches hit by the flooding.  Make your check payable to St. Paul's and marked diaster relief or put loose cash in the offering plate on Sunday.

There is also a special need for diapers and baby wipes, just bring them to church and we'll get them down there.
Backpack Blessing

backpackAs hard as it is to believe, school is starting soon.  In order to start the year off right, all students & teachers are invited to bring your backpacks to St. Paul's on August 30 at 4:00 p.m. for a service of blessing.

Please invite any children or teachers you know

We are also collecting school supplies for need children in our community, please bring your donations to church or to the service
Thanks to all who helped with the funeral and reception for John Hout.  It was a lovely reception.

Celebration of a New Ministry and 60 years
front of churchBishop Garrison will be at St. Paul's on
Friday, September 18 for the Celebration of the Ministry of our new rector and of the 60th Anniversary of the Dedication of St. Paul's, which is that day.

We will bless the rectory at 6:30 p.m. and start the service of Celebration at 6:45.  Please mark your calendars and plan to be there.

Since St. Paul's is known as the church that children built, children will have a major role.
