 30 September 2011

Dear GVCCC Friends and Members,

Thank you to all of our guests and sponsors for helping us make this year's Village Jazz Alive a success! We hope you had a great time supporting jazz in the village at the world renowned Blue Note

In other news, the GVCCC would like to welcome two new members: Village Doorman and Marom Consulting.

Village Doorman, is a great service for New Yorkers, especially those of us who have trouble getting packages at home. Through a network of small businesses they allow you to pick up your packages at establishments near your apartment, place of work or college campus.

Also, we would like to welcome back Marom ConsultingPresident David Marom has over 20 years of experience as a healthcare and employee benefits specialist. He currently helps NYC businesses control costs and increase the value of their employee benefit programs.

Welcome aboard! As always, see below for more Chamber news!

Best,

GVCCC

DealEvents.com and the Greenwich Village-Chelsea Chamber of Commerce partner on a "Shop Local" initiative

DealEvents.com, a new Daily Deal website with a hyper-local focus, is proud to

announce that it has recently joined the Greenwich Village and Chelsea Chamber of Commerce. DealEvents.com has also partnered with the Chamber on a "Shop Local" initiative designed to drive consumers to support merchants in their immediate locality.

The online company is to launch with a large focused subscriber base all eager to support local businesses. The Shop Local initiative leverages off DealEvents.com subscriber base by offering great offers for restaurants, bars and a wide array of other businesses to those who live, work and play in the area. It is offering special commission rates for Chamber members and the first 5 businesses to sign up will feature for free!

Marcus Spillane co-founder of DealEvents.com said "When we developed the
concept of our company we wanted a platform that not only offered businesses a chance to present deals to our subscriber base, but we also wanted to work with local civic and community groups and Chambers of Commerce to make sure that the whole neighborhood benefited. We want to thank the Greenwich Village and Chelsea Chamber of Commerce for welcoming us as a new member and look forward to working with them on this shop local initiative."

To find out more about featuring please e-mail business@dealevents.com or call 877-493-6893.
