We would also like to remind all our members that we're on the brink of three upcoming events, "The 3rd  Annual Village Jazz Alive",  "Out to Work, NYC's 5th Annual LGBT Career Fair" and NYU Parent's DayWe are asking GVCCC members to drop off marketing materials at the Chamber office to be distributed at Parent's Day. The Chamber will have a table at the event and will be promoting our members to parents and students.

Also, we will be holding a silent auction at the Village Jazz Alive concert featuring VIP tickets to The Colbert Report, tickets to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, seats to the upcoming Cyndi Lauper concert and more!

St. Vincent's Update

O'Toole Building The closing of Saint Vincent Medical Center has had a devastating effect on the local economy and has been detrimental to the small businesses surrounding the hospital. More than 30 businesses have shut their doors since the closing and many of those that remain are struggling. That is why, after reviewing the proposal and carefully weighing the alternatives, the Greenwich Village-Chelsea Chamber of Commerce (GVCCC) is strongly supportive of the North Shore-LIJ Health System and Rudin Management plan to turn St. Vincent's into a comprehensive, free-standing emergency department.

To join us in supporting this plan, send an email to your local elected official here
