8 June 2011

Dear GVCCC Members and Friends,

It is my pleasure to welcome two new members to the GVCCC: Fashion Institute of Technology and New York Energy Consumers Council. The continued growth of the Chamber's membership is integral to our success and our marketing and membership committees are an asset to this process. We will be holding our first committee meetings on June 27th and invite all interested Chamber members to contribute, either as part of the committees, as a committee chair or as a supporter of the committee's work and events.

Another new opportunity we are happy to announce is the option for every member to upload their company logos to the website, regardless of their level of membership. We are aware of the value of logos to businesses and the investment many of you put into developing them for your customers. Detailed instructions on how to do so can be found below.

Finally, with summer always comes exciting events. This summer, you can tour famous TV and movie sites with On Location Tours or attend the Museum of New York's public program, Greenwich Village: Past, Present and Future, where discounts are available for GVCCC members and friends. We look forward to bringing you more events this summer, so be sure to check back as the weather warms up.

Best,

Tom Gray

Upcoming Committee Meetings

The GVCCC is happy to announce our upcoming committee meeting schedule. The chamber's three main committees: Government Relations, Marketing and Membership will be hosting committee meetings on Monday, June 27. The Government Relations Committee will meet from 12pm-1pm and the Marketing and Membership Committees will meet from 1pm-2pm. The meetings will be held in the Conference Room on the first floor of the Chamber's former location at 154 Christopher Street.

The initial committee agendas will be distributed before the meetings. We will be discussing new ways to increase Chamber membership along with ways to continue to bring you the most relevant events, seminars and resources. If you are a GVCCC member and would like to join one of our committees email tom@villagechelsea.com.

Upload Your Logo to the GVCCC Website

Company logos are important and we know you work hard to develop a fitting design for your businesses, which is why the Chamber has made some changes to the logo settings for our website directory. All members can now upload their logos to the membership directory, regardless of membership level.

The instructions on how to do it are as follows:

1) Log in with your user info and password.

2) Go to your profile page

3) Click on the third tab from the left Change Avatar

4) Upload your image

If the image is bigger than 150 pixels wide by 50 pixels high, the logo will be cropped so be sure to resize your image before you upload. If you have any problems uploading your logo, please email tom@villagechelsea.com
