Learn About Business Loans at the
Manhattan Credit Fair
| |
On Wednesday, May 25th, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the NY Life Insurance Co. Building, located at 51 Madison Avenue in midtown Manhattan, the NYC Council will be co-hosting a free credit fair for local small businesses and start-ups.
This is the sixth in a series of credit fairs being planned around the city as part of Credit Ready NYC, a new two-part initiative launched by the City Council earlier this year to help increase lending to local small businesses still struggling to obtain credit. (To learn more about this initiative, click here.)
At the fair, which is co-hosted by the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS), and the NYC Council Manhattan Delegation, representatives from SBS will be onsite providing free counseling and advice on how to properly apply for a loan.
We invite all local entrepreneurs, start-ups, and anyone interested in starting their own business to drop by. This will be a great opportunity for folks to speak directly to SBS, banking representatives, and community and alternative lenders about loan applications and available programs.
To RSVP, please call (212)788-6871 or e-mail events@council.nyc.gov.
