Hope you had a great weekend! The St. Vincent's area businesses are still struggling for foot traffic and patronage after the closure of the hospital and we are intent on raising awareness. In conjuction with Assembly Woman Glick we will be hosting a Valentines Shopping Day complete with raffles and gifts, in the area surrounding St. Vincent's. Our seminar on Social Media has been moved to February 11 and we hope you will attend. - Simply shop. Spend a minimum of $10 at any 3 businesses located within the designated area on February 12.
- Bring your receipts to the LGBT Community Center (between 10am and 3pm) and receive a prize!
- For every $10 spent, receive a raffle ticket for a raffle of amazing items from local businesses.

The Chamber Discount Program is a great way to market your business both within the Chamber, and to the public. Use this program to turn Chamber members into customers and give those who may not yet be loyal customers, a reason to spend their dollars with your business.
The Discount Program provides you with the opportunity to offer discounts just to the membership, just to the public, or to both. Member-to-member discounts are published in the members only section of our new website. Public discounts are available to everyone who visits our new website and goes to the discounts page. | Referral Program: Membership for Free? |
As a member of the Chamber, you already know about the many benefits of membership. Why not spread the word and get even more businesses involved? By referring members to the Chamber in 2011, you can reduce your 2012 dues and even get your entire dues paid through this program!
The referral program is designed to reduce investment rates for current members and encourage the membership to help grow the chamber. In order to take advantage of the program, you must sign up! You can sign up online or download the form here and fax back to the Chamber.

Roasting Plant | The Chamber's new website has a monthly profile of a member. Chamber Champions will all be highlighted in this new feature, where you can read a quick snapshot of what makes each business special. For the first profile on the new website though, we we highlighted a St. Vincent's area business.

| Unclaimed Funds with the State - Are You or Your Business Owed Money? |
For your protection, banks, insurance companies, utilities, investment companies and many other businesses are required by State law to surrender inactive accounts to the State. These accounts are known as "lost," "abandoned," or "unclaimed" funds. The Office of the State Comptroller serves as custodian of this money. If you can prove you are entitled to the money, they will gladly return it to you, at any time, without charge. In conjunction with the Comptroller's office, the Chamber has identified MANY of our members who have unclaimed funds. Regardless of whether or not you think you may be owed money, you should check. Give the Chamber a call at 212.337.5923 and we will show you how to find your unclaimed funds or you can go directly to www.osc.state.ny.us. For those of you whom we previously contacted, your forms are in! We will call you this week - what a great way to start the new year!
