Hello Members and Friends,

We at the Chamber hope this newsletter finds you well and successful!

The summer heat has set in and we hope your business is also heating up.  If you're hiring, we hope you will consider participating in Out to Work 2010, our annual LGBT job fair.  Contact us for more information.

Coffee and Cards is back so get ready to network!  RSVP for this event scheduled for August 4th.  Our second Coffee & Cards will be held at glassybaby's West Village retail location and is sponsored by ADP.

If you'd like to include a discount, event or piece of information in the newsletter, we want to know about it.  To be included, send an email to lauren@villagechelsea.com by each Friday at noon, to be included in the following week's eblast.  Logos and other artwork, should be in JPEG format and less than 2.5 MB.

Our calendar is constantly growing, so if you have an idea for an event or a speaker based on a pressing local issue, send us an email.  We are always interested in your thoughts and ideas, and making the Chamber the best resource for you and your business.

Best,

Help the City Council Save The Mom & Pops
Small Businesses are a vital component to our City's economy.  Speaker Quinn and the City Council, along with the Mayor's Office, the New York City Economic Development Corporation, the Department of Small Business Services, and the Department of City Planning, are asking you to take a survey.

The goal is for local merchants and other active local entities to share information in an effort to shape citywide policy with regard to small business.

Coffee & Cards: Expand Your Network, Grow Your Business
Join the Chamber at our next Coffee & Cards networking event hosted by West Village retailer glassybaby and sponsored by ADP

Coffee & Cards provides you with a direct opportunity to meet and network with business professionals who understand the meaning and value of building mutually benifical relationships.

The idea behind these events is that simple relationships can drive growth for your business. Each registered Chamber Member is invited with a guest, a colleague or associate, so that the network is strong, not limited and constantly growing.  When a member RSVPs, you will be registered with your guest, who can be a member or non-member.  Non-members can attend a Coffee & Cards event only once.  And of course you can register as a solo attendee and choose not to bring a guest!
