Raw Material Update
 The raw material price increases that have been prevalent in the labeling market since 2010 have slowed a bit in 2012. Unfortunately the prices for platinum remain high. Platinum is a component of the release liners, used to provide 'release surfaces' against adhesives and other sticky surfaces. They are commonly used for coating the backing paper of labels, allowing the label to be peeled away easily without splitting. Release liners also provide resealability as they allow the sticky surface to be removed and reapplied without loss of adhesion. (Source: Platinum Today)
Pulp prices have been slowly falling since April of this year which we anticipate will hold off any paper increases for the remained of 2012. The same cannot be said for the unsupported films. Although we have seen prices fluctuating with the ever changing cost of crude oil, film pricing appears to be back on the rise.
At Advanced Web, we continue to invest in more efficient equipment and processes to help offset the need to pass price increase on to our customers.
